I did hear that antec will continue to work on aria cases, as it was a huge success. they will make a new revision of the aria case. just like what they did with the overture. but i have no idea what they will work on it. probably better cooling psu and a fan on the side of the case and better...
you have to specify a budget there are mid range solutions and high end solution be more spcefic on your budget so you can get more crystal help from us.
in all the fairness first of all you should look up at what resolutions you're playing... i have a 17 inch lcd screen max i ca get 1280*1024 so even a mid range card right now will play good at those settings. getting ultra high end card if you play at those resolutions is a waste of money...
agreed 6800gt for nvidia. and x800xl for ati. i guess ati's solution is better as they will have it in agp soon and price will be cheaper performance just about equal.
thats quite a bold statement but i disagree with you all the way. yes s754 is older just like 6 months. feature wise one has dual memory other single memory. they both run fast.
major factor is will you be running ic sli mode? if you do, yougot no choice but to go for s939 platform.
now...
ok aprox price: socket 754 A64+3400 = usd 200, AGP6600GT= usd200, socket754mobo=usd100, leaves around usd150 for your memory. which is more then eunuf if you want to get a 2.5 cas 1 gig mem, or lowlatencie modules in 2-2-2-5 but they will be 512mb.
MSI K8Neo Platinum and DFI is the best way...

if I own a 450 watts powersupply but my hardware requirements is at peak lets say 300watts. will those left over 150 watts be wasted? or the powersupply adjusts to that and consumes 300watts? i hope i made myself clear cuz i'm kinda...
top five would be for amd 64 platforms;
1)MSI
2)DFI
3)ASUS
4)CHAINTECH
5)GIGABYTE
ASUS is the best all rounder, they are the most recognized worldwide, but this reflects on their pricing, they are way above everyone else, and they have lately put out terrible products and they have the...
in that respect, this news means unlike what so many others and review sites posted s754 platform is alive and kicking. which is good news. personally i prefer to have 1mb of cache then a dual memory. better performance.
you know what? keep your current system. w8 a month. i just heard atil will relase x800 xl on agp platforms. they cost around 300 usd. which is awesome. better then 6800gt and much much cheaper. that means you will see at least double better performance then your current 9800 xt.
oem= just the cpu
retail= package as a whole with the stock heatsink ( which is never usefull)
in the past oem was bad, cuz many stores would play around with the multipliers of the cpu and sell you the original cpu more expensive. it was a fraud and theft so oem products got bad repuation...
trebleking; if you check it out he has 9800xt which means his mb is agp. he is looking at the 6600gt agp. which means he can never do sli set up. with that mobo. personally i do agree dont upgrade now, but if you insist then get a mobo with pci-x and get x800 (vanilla)
