Project Orthrus - Smallest SLI mATX case (V2)

Long time follower, first time poster here. I'd like to concur with prava on the filters. It would be great to have an elegant design on the filters which matches the level of other aspects of this case. Especially it's an aluminum case which makes using magnetic filters kinda troublesome like...

Has anyone tried using 2x16GB DDR3 ram on the M7i? Thanks a lot!

    SFX-L PSU compilation

Could you please share that how did you check the wiring of the cables? I'm considering getting a Dirac 650w but not sure if it's compatible with Silverstone's cables. Thanks a lot!

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks! I wanted to try this but my screwdriver could not pass through the screw mount at the other side. Maybe I need a thinner screwdriver? Another problem is that I'm having a 15mm thick fan and it seems the screw is too long to get in the position. I guess I should get a thicker fan then.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Sorry to necro an old post but this has troubled me for a while. Regarding using a fan between the fan bracket and the hdd rack, I found this post: Could someone explain this more detailed to me please? I have been starring at the screws for like an hour and couldn't figure it out lol...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for the tip. I tried aluminum foil and it's still having unstable performance. I think I'll try another riser. This would be great! When I first tried my SX500-LG with reference GTX970 and figured that it won't actually fit, I tried the ATX bracket and found out that the PSU wasn't...

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Well I'm glad that I'm not one of them. :D I noticed the cool whine when I had the PSU in the case. I checked it with hearing by different locations and found out that it should be the PSU which was whining. I double checked later by pulling the PSU out of the case and I still identified...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Some followups: My PCIe riser is resulting unstable performance on my GPU so I'm considering getting another one. It is linking at PCIe 3.0 x8 (I'm using Asus M7I with a PCIe SSD so it is running at x8). I also took a clearer image to illustrate how the cable is bent. Please see below. It...

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Okay I finally got some time to try out my SX500-LG. My impressions are: - The fan is quiet and could stay off for quite a while. After it started spinning, it could go off again. - It has coil whine. If you have a silent room then it would be noticeable. I'm currently using a Core i5 4690K...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

The PCIe riser I am using: Link The flexible cable is 10cm long, and I was worried that it would be too long. But it turns out to be a nice fit for my usage because of the orientation of the board. The daughter board of the PCIe riser has its connector facing downwards so the cable has...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I was going to go this way to fit my Cryorig C1 by mounting SX500-LG on the ATX bracket. It does allow C1 to fit and solve the problem with the power cord orientation, but the SX500-LG still won't fit with GTX970 reference cooler (with blackplate). With a few tweaks I finally figured out a...

Could anyone help me to check your M7I that whether the PCIe SSD shows in the UEFI or not? I just put a Plextor M6e on but couldn't find it in the UEFI nor in the installation program of Windows 7. Thanks a lot!

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

I had a look of the inside of my SilverStone SX500-LG and found out that the capacitors are mostly from TEAPO, instead of the NCCs in the HighPower's version. The main capacitor is still rubycon though. I was hoping SilverStone would use the same capacitors as the HighPower's, but sadly it was...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It's been selling for about 3 weeks here in Taiwan. But according to my observation, it's not widely available yet. Only a few small stores listed it and the store I bought from didn't have one in stock so it was back ordered from SilverStone. I haven't powered anything with the SX500-LG...

I just got the SX500-LG. Tried it out a bit and the compatibility with long videocard is indeed not good. The components I have currently is an experimental build and I knew that not all of these will fit: Asus M7I Cryorig C1 Nvidia GeForce GTX970 Reference cooler Silverstone SX500-LG...
