Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Ditto, no whine here with rev 1.0, plus core clock is 1404Mhz on default, measured under load. If I remember correctly Gigabyte stated that there was a switch between component manufacturers, it's often done to lower manufacturing cost.
I think the problem is the absence of a standard for benchmarking maximum overclocks. My Sapphire HD 7950 OC can run Unigine or Kombustor all night at 1025 (stock voltage), yet anything more than 990 makes it crash in Crysis 2. Not immediately, it takes a hour or more at 1000 for example, but...
Playing Crysis 2 DX11 max settings + HD textures to test my overclcoks, it's the most demanding game I have. Weird thing is when it crashes it usually crashes during cut scenes and not while actually playing.
Thanks, I did as you suggested, Unigine seems stable on 1025 mhz (maxed settings, 1920x1200 resolution, running for 1 hour) but in games (Crysis 2 DX11, Witcher 2) the highest I could go without artifacts and crashes (black screens in TW2 lasting 10-20 seconds after which the game would recover...
Well, to be precise the reason for my question is I've been experimenting with overclocking my card, testing the clocks in Unigine Heaven. And the results were outstanding, I managed to hit 1100mhz on STOCK VOLTAGE. That's when I realized tha despite Trixx and GpuZ showing the increased...
There's another stunning DX9 game, incidentally also polish, but since's it's a hardcore old school FPS one can't spend lots of time marveling at it's graphic or it's instant game over. :p
I'm talking about Hard Reset (Extended Edition). While it lacks Ubersampling it's a game that manages to...
This might be a stupid answer. I too noticed on my Dell that near the bezel the white color turns to slightly yellowish, The culprit might be the bezel pressure on the panel but what if the display is just dirty? I imagine that in the manufacturing plant, before each display is put in it's...
Thanks for the in-depth reply, I'm keeping my U2412M. I'm already spoiled by it's real estate compared to my old 20" NEC (took just 2-3 evenings). I'm using the monitor exclusively for leisure (got several Samsungs and Dells on work, they're used mainly for text and audio editing) and though...
Anybody had the chance to compare the Samsung S24A850D to the DELL U2412M side by side? Anti glare coating aside I'm curious if the Samsung's higher price (200 euros difference where I live) is justified by it's quality and features.
I'd say a NVIDIA GTX 560 TI or a an ATI HD 6950 should allow you to play many games maxed out on a 24". New gen GPU's should be out soon though, so maybe you should wait a month or two for the current gen cards prices to drop. I'm no monitor expert, I only lurk here for useful info, but probably...
True, I have both consoles but I never bothered to connect them to a monitor, neither my old NEC nor the new DELL are provided with HDMI input. I do prefer playing pc games in 16:9 with black bars though, to 16:10.
Yup, glow was violet in my case but almost unnoticeable cause of the NEC's...
It can't, it has a limited scaler that doesn't support 16:9. 16:9 can only be achieved through the GPU scaler. Got my U2412M today, no disturbing backlight bleed but lots of IPS glow that can be mistaken for BB. My four years old NEC LCD20WGX2 had none of either:(
I bought the preview, since I've been waiting for a serious review of the HP ZR2440W since summer. But I found out it's just another "recession times" IPS. Looks like I'll be keeping my old NEC LCD20WGX2 for another 6-12 months.
