Hmm...I think this is your problem. Your exchange domain is the external domain name (.com) and your logon names match the internal domain name (.org), so when a user types in [email protected] it is a valid email address but not a vaild logon.

Nothing else you do is trustworthy. Oh, and that includes any secondary drives. And all remote shared folders that you computer had write access to.
It probably was a software issue and not a trojan or anything. Look through the event viewer for errors. Just to be sure, you may want to hook up a sniffer to see what sort of traffic you are leaking to the internet.
I've used both SurfControl and Websense on large corporate networks (>1000 users) and of the two I'd say Websense is far better. It does a great job of both protocol level and site level filtering. The only problem is the cost, but if you are serious about filter, it is the way to go.
