sorry for necro post, but this high in google search results so I wanted to clear some things up now that we've seen a couple years of testing on this stuff.
1. people over at OC.net have been using this on direct-die to IHS for awhile now (since ivy bridge) with little to no issues. (Haswell...
Here's the 74Hz refresh rate settings for Intel HD Graphics. credit goes to ToastyX for the nvidia settings which I converted to Intel. (waiting on my GTX 690 if anyone's wondering, lol) it definitely feels smoother than 60Hz. I've got a DP cable on the way to try 83Hz soon.
also, to lower...
Thanks for the 100Hz/120Hz info. I found one on eBay for $529.99 but seems way overpriced. I'll see if 120hz.net is still selling them for $460
Edit: looks like they're just taking pre-orders so far on 120hz.net
amazon's reviews say the right side buttons are too easy to press by accident. that and the software sucks for other games, profiles don't switch properly and they don't detect steam games. and it doesn't seem to have onboard memory since the software is required for all keybinds to work. other...
write error rate now over 3400 after 3 months on my HD155UI (HD205UI with one less platter), and the current/worst value is "1"
FYI this thread is still #1 in google for "samsung write error rate" but no real official answer on the matter?

sorry to bump an old thread but it's still high in google search.
my HD155UI died after a few months, was backing up data to it and computer BSOD'd, restarted and S.M.A.R.T. error, then it didn't detect. this was a drive i threw tons of tests at in the beginning too.
my replacement came 7 days...
only issues i've had with mine are sometimes one or two of the thumb buttons stop working until i unplug it and plug it back in. but that rarely happens, though annoying during a gaming session when you have hotkeys on those buttons.
also wireless irks me on the G700, it just isn't as...
so did Newegg go out of stock before all the preorders were even filled? all the new corsair products seem to be out of stock everywhere the same day (28th) i put in a pre-order at amazon but i'm starting to doubt that order will get filled anytime this year...
I wonder why bethesda disabled bTreesReceiveShadows and bDrawLandShadows, perhaps it was for a good reason that we don't know of yet?
Edit: it only drops my fps by 1-2 outdoors with both enabled
yeah this sucks, i was hoping to order one today... there's no official announcements or anything. was newegg just guessing on the release date of 11/01/2011? and are they guessing on 11/28/2011 now? amazon has no info at all. maybe Corsair is trying to stock the stores first?
I've got the 1.5TB F4EG HD155UI, the HD204UI's little brother with 2 platters instead of 3, but basically the same disk though.
only had it a week and already 1 raw read error rate and 139 write error rates. and my two 1TB F3's have some RRER and WER's too, but not as high. is this normal? or...
those Ripjaws X are a really good price now. I got my 9-11-9-24-2T 2133MHz 1.65V Ripjaws X for over $215 in january for 8 gigs. now the low voltage stuff is under $100. I think it's probably the same RAM, because mine will also do 11-11-11-30 @ 1.5v. Maybe this voltage is safer for sandys? mine...
for gaming on the NEC you're gonna want to turn down brightness or contrast ingame or in windows. by default, the blacklevels and grays are "too good". every game that has a calibration tool has had me turning it down.
I'm assuming the TN is just set optimally for gaming from the get-go.
