    The WD Reds are rated for at least 600,000 load cycles, like most modern hard drives. So even with 100 load cycles a day, it should last for more than 10 years.

    Open the case and locate where the sound is coming from. I had a cheap PC with a PSU that made noises like that during GPU load. The PSU croaked (in the end literally), probably rubbish components and wasn't built to deliver nearly as much wattage as it specified.

    Just noticed this thread, figured I'd post my pc as it has 30TB (10 x 3TB). I use it for many purposes including gaming so it also has two 7970s. I found a way to fit 10 HDDs and 4 SSDs tidily and out of sight in the Corsair 800D, got the SSDs mounted securely with screws in the very bottom front.

    I had two 5870s in CF for a few years, and now run two 7970s in CF. I've had some minor desktop issues in Windows 7 that I can attribute to the drivers, but during gaming, I can't remember a single problem (not even a crash) so I got no complaints whatsoever.     7970/7950 user experience?

    I've got two 7970s and I haven't had any trouble. I have only played a handful of games yet though, but those work great. Currently playing The Witcher 2 and Crysis 2. No problems outside game playing either, I use that PC for many other things as well.
