Sent EVGA 480 GTX for RMA and....

I originally sent in the card due to it instantly crashing when going into 3d mode. As soon as I would launch a game or stress test, the screen would stick to a random color and I would have to force shutdown the PC. I explained to EVGA all the troubleshooting and monitoring information I have...

    Yet another 120Hz LCD: Alienware OptX AW2310 23" 16:9

Been using this monitor for a few months now and absolutely love it. Even when not gaming in 3d from time to time, the 120 hz gameplay is so smooth and precise that it takes the gaming to another level. I have been tweaking color settings and nvidia display option settings ever since I got...

Ordered the monitor on Sunday night and is expected to arrive here on Thursday! Quick shipping, cannot wait! Im fairly sure I am going to pickup the Nvidia 3D Vision here at a local CompUSA and try it out. Worse comes to worse, I can always return it =) Will post comments on the setup once it...

    i7 overclock failure, BSOD win7

I went from using the old Thermalright Ultra 120 cooler fitted on with a seperate 1366 adapater on my 920 and was getting temps in the 85-90c+ in Prime95 and Linkpack. I went out and bought a Corsair H50 for only 60 bucks at CompUSA and my temps are idling at 45c and max load of Linkpack for...

    U2410 or AW2310?

I decided to go with the AW2310 and went ahead and placed the order. I guess if I am not satisfied I could always send it back and grab the U2410 from Dell as long as its within 21 days of the invoice date.

    U2410 or AW2310?

I am currently using a 26" LG W2600H and i'm looking for an upgrade LCD. I am deciding between Dell U2410 and Alienware OPTX AW2310. What would you guys choose? U2410 - Would be upgrading to an IPS panel which I would very much like, and get to keep the 1920x1200 resolution that I prefer...

    Agility Raid-0 or Sandforce???

What do you guys and gals think I should do? I am currently using an OCZ Agility SSD on the ICH10R Asus P6T mobo. Buy 1 more OCZ Agility 120gb ssd and setup a raid-0 array? Or... Buy a new Sandforce OCZ Agility 2 / Vertex 2 and use my current Agility as a 2nd drive? I would like my...

    i7 overclock failure, BSOD win7

1.25v set in bios is pretty a pretty low voltage to be running 4 ghz at, especially after vdroop. I would raise it up around 1.3v or so and test stability from there. If it seems stable after some stress testing, go back and drop the vcore down a notch until you find the lowest voltage you can...

    GTX 480 Removing Plastic Cover

After an hour worth of testing, removing the plastic cover actually increases temperatures by ALOT! Since the 480 heatsink has a solid metal plate cover, no air from the 120mm fans are getting inbetween the fins which cause a very fast and high temperature increase. The original article I...

Not stable at stock memory speeds DDR3-1600

Thank you for the help Mike. The BSOD error's im getting are "Page fault in non-paged area" and "Driver IRQL is not equal or less" whenever im just about to load into Windows. Happens in Windows 7 and also in Windows XP on a different hard drive. From the page fault bsod, almost makes me...

Not stable at stock memory speeds DDR3-1600

Could SLI grapic cards and Tri-channel memory sticks at a high frequency be overloading the chipset or something as well? Just doesn't make sense. The cpu is stable at 4 ghz or so with the memory freq dropped down, the chips are stable installed one by one at stock speeds, but as soon as I...

Not stable at stock memory speeds DDR3-1600

I already opened a ticket with Corsair a few days ago explaining this same information, and they said since each of my sticks passed memtest86 when installed seperately, they don't think its a memory issue. Mike Clements, do you have any advice on how I can go about getting these sticks RMA'ed...

Not stable at stock memory speeds DDR3-1600

So i just cleared the cmos, booted up, changed it to xmp profile, and the qpi/dram voltage defaults to 1.35v. I have tried raising that voltage to 1.4v before just to see if it would be any more stable and got the same results of crashing.
