Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Corsair Link is reporting ~2200 RPM on the pump, but I still can't hear it. I didn't realize I had forgotten to install Corsair Link, so when I installed that it actually improved temperatures significantly. The temperature no longer immediately jumped to 80+, but it still reached 81*C after...
I'll have to try reseating it. Do you have a picture of how you mounted the rad? You scared me asking about the pump, but it lights up so I'm pretty sure it is plugged in. I have the fan plugged into the motherboard instead of the pump though IIRC.
Power Supply: ST45SF-G
CPU: 4670K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Impact
Memory: Ripjaws 8GB
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 750 Ti
Hard Disk: Samsung 850 EVO 500gb
I fit the H80i by rotating it 360 degrees to wrap the tubing a push air out of the case. Single fan...
After updating the UEFI, the SSD was still not recognized. I tested it in a computer on a working SATA port/cable, and it was not detected in the OS either. I suspect it was fried when it shorted the old motherboard, so I guess I'm buying a new one.
I'm using an Asus ROG Impact. I needed to RMA it because it didn't turn on, turns out it had shorted out because the 840 was mounted behind it, and one of the screws was long enough to contact the back of the board.
With the new replacement board, the 840 Pro is not being detected in UEFI. I...
Multimonitor for sure. At 3*1080 would an OC'd GTX 770 be sufficient for some of the more torturous games? Thanks for the watercooling advice, I'll probably look at a 480mm radiator since I'm running it external. I'll look for used, but I don't mind buying new, especially since most of the used...
This is currently my plan too. I'd likely lengthen those cables, and I may paint the entire case too. My colour scheme is teal on light grey for many of the aquarium components, and I'd like to paint this case to match that.
That is almost what I imagined for the drive.
Like Woody said, I...
While I welcome the challenge, I am moving more toward the Cubitek for this reason. It appears the Cubitek will be cleaner overall and more conducive to the addition of a window on the left side panel.
I'm not too concerned about CPU cooling, since I'm going to be liquid cooling. This would...
Ok that is good to know.
The reason I chose the Q08 is simply because I have seen beautiful looking builds with them, and can picture that case sitting in my new desk. As this is my first SFF build, I do not know what red flags to look for, nor whether it will work for my build. I already know...
This is mostly what I have been looking at. I intend to watercool instead of the NT06.
I guess the questions I have are:
Will the PSU be sufficient? The GTX 770 is rated for a 600W PSU, and I plan to overclock.
Which version of the GTX 770 should I be looking at? I've always had good...
While sound is not a major consideration for me, there is also no reason not to mitigate it where possible. I'll look into this.
If you don't mind me asking, what hiccups have you run into with the Q18?
More info on this below, but this system will be built side-by-side to a saltwater reef aquarium. Many design decisions will be made with that in mind. This is what I am referring to when I mention tanks/sumps/plumbing/etc unless otherwise specified.
I'll get the form out of the way first...
