    I guess it also depend on where you buy it, see if they can help you with upgrading your bios. I had experience with a part selling company and they upgrade my bios for me, but thats just my case.

    I have worked with E3-1230, this type of series are mostly use for server usage and not graphic intensive. I guess it all depend on the purpose of the computer, if your using for something not graphic intensive then go with E3-1230.

    Simply upgrade on the RAMS and parts! Then OC the system and wait for Haswell. And Newegg is not always the cheapest.
