Yeah that's funny, we'll spend $300 on a brand new case only to get it and cut holes in it, we'll spend $500 on GPUs only to tear the cooling solution off and glue ramsinks and mount water blocks on them. but drilling a hole with the MB in the case is just over the top. ha ha
keep an eye on the headers for your power switch, reset switch etc. irregardless of whether you pull your MB or not it gets pretty tight in that area. Good luck! let me know how it turns out.
Your exactly right; have it sag down enough to complete your cut. I used rags to more than cover all the internal components, then I masked both sides of where the hole was to be cut. The masking on the inside will help a litle in keeping the shavings localized. Then I took a large piece of...
I did the very thing your talking about el rolio. I know it's not the prefered method but in my case I used a large piece of cloth which I taped to the underside then made sure nothing could fall through.
It's not the safest practice but it can be achieved if the necessary precautions are taken.
Hey mixman I attached a pic of my set-up it's a 120x25mm fan and you can see what you might encounter. I have mine centered and with the 25mm fan there's just barely enough room to get to the headers for the power switch, reset, speaker etc. hope it helps...

Actually no, I tried the dye from AC and never got very good results so I found the UV tubing at frozen CPU and went with that. there isn't anything added in the water except ACFluid.
Thanks roli. yes you are correct I switched the wheels around and the HDD bracket I made out of heavy gauge sheet metal; I originally made one out of plexiglass but the sheet metal took up less room and was alot stronger.
Thanks!
The panel is just the stock LL side panel that came with a window and I used a dremel to cut out the bottom portion to something that kind of matched the shape. Then it was just a matter of painting and mounting some modders mesh to the inside of the panel. I did the same thing to the...
If your talking about the drive covers (faceplates) both of those are Plextors and they come with the black covers. The black panel on the side of the bays is just black plexiglass cut and mounted using standoffs.
