Off topic I finally realized what was 'wrong' with my VG278H... the damn stand is tilted like 1 or 2 degrees. The right side of the monitor is 0.8 cm closer to the desk. If I rotate the monitor so that the left side is closer to me, will that look better? But then the monitor would not look... -

I'm using a VG278H. How do I do a 'clean' uninstall of the strobelight app? I used strobelight-setup to add 100Hz only. Restarted. Lightboost was instantly enabled upon login and worked properly. Then I wanted to disable it so I stopped the program, and unplugged the monitor. Lightboost was... -

I'm finding it harder to spot aliasing. Does a matte screen make it harder to spot individual pixels compared to glossy screens? Either that or my eyesight is getting worse. -

You would need a custom stand for that as both VG278H/HE monitors do not rotate into portrait. -

He's a question... how do I disable GPU scaling on my VG278h (nv 660ti). Whatever resolution I set the OSD is still at 1080p and the change is instant (since the drivers keep scaling). I did set the driver to "No scaling" but it does not work. Only when using a custom resolution does the LCD... -

I disabled vsync in the driver and got 350 fps at low settings. Double image effect still present, probably since it's rendering at 60fps. I also tried running the game on an 85Hz CRT some time ago... same issue. Maybe I'll ask on the blizzard forums. -

I've captured the footage with fraps... and it says 120fps. The game is capped at 60 if you enable the ingame vsync. It gets capped at your monitor refresh if you enable it in the drivers. (that's what I used) Without any vsync enabled the game can reach 200-300 fps on low settings, but I doubt... -

Borderlands 1 does not have physx support. I get the same framerate with both bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport=True bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport=False I've decided to play at 120Hz with framerate fixed to 60fps. (no lightboost) My E8500 does not cut it in most games anymore, I'll need to get a new... -

Note: these are assumptions HDTVs don't input more than 60Hz. They use interpolation to boost the refresh rate by creating 'fake' frames. So I'm guessing most of them run at 48 to 240Hz interpolation. (input signal 24 to 60Hz) With movies being 24 or 30 fps, there should be no problem is... -
