Hey guys. I'm in Australia and I received my Dell 34" last week. I switched from a surround setup (3 x 120Hz 1920x1080) to this and I love it. Took about a day to get used to 60Hz gaming again, but the colours pop, the aspect ratio is PERFECT and it's overall very immersive. No more bezels.
I...
Hi guys,
I have three Dell u2711's, driven by 3xGTX580's. I play BFBC2 regularly online, and like to do well. The Dell's are OK, but I have decided to sell them to move to 120hz panels (three of the Samsung s27950's).
My system can push decent frames @ 7680x1440 and the image is fine. But...
The bezels seem about the same size as the ones on my old dell 2707.
This is my first surround system, and I'm not even worrying about the bezels in game. You kind of screen them out. I have set up bezel compensation though, through the Nvidia control panel, it just feels a bit more 'right'...
It is a hard resolution to push, but I'm running Medium-High settings in BFBC2 @ 7680 x 1440 with Nvidia Surround (2 x GTX295's). I have to keep AA off, but it's very smooth and a great experience.
I think a couple of 5970's, or 2 or 3 5870's should be able to handle it - both have more Vram...
I'll post benchmarks and results with my 295 as soon as my three new screens arrive! In the meantime, I'd love to see other tests by people with the 200 generation.
I'm about to drop some cash on 3 Dell 2711's - to run a regular Nvidia Surround at 7680 x 1440. I've got the GTX295 with 3 ports out (2 DVI, 1 HDMI) ... could be a big change in my gaming real soon!
Have any of you guys tried the leaked beta with a gtx295?
I have a nice 295, under water and overclocked. I read that the gtx295 will be capable of 3dvision surround - and before I drop the cash on a couple of new monitors, I'd like to be sure.
My gtx295 has 3 video-outputs, 2 x DVI and 1...
I'm still loving my GTX295, it's under water now - and because it's one of the original dual PCB's (it's the ASUS version), I can run the EVGA voltage tool.
Overvolted (1150mV vs 1038mV stock), my card runs Core 760, Shader 1638 and memory 2300ish ... rock solid for the past six months. My max...
surely someone in this forum has at least TRIED this?
what is it about the x38/x48 chipset that disallows it from addressing 2 x 4GB sticks instead of 4 x 2GB?
Hey HF,
I'm using a great board, the original Maximus Extreme, with a nice overclocked CPU and GPU ... currently running 4GB of Kingston DDR3 RAM (2x2GB sticks).
I'm getting good milage from my system, and only see a few upgrades I need to do over the next year or two.
Question is...
