The last Need for Speed that I bought was the first Underground. I did not get excited over it, and did not stay with it long.
I wish that Burnout Paradise had an option to restart a race (after losing one) instead of having to drive all the way back.
The Need for speed series has certainly gone downhill overall from what I have read about them. I loved the 1998 version of Hot Pursuit, and High Stakes. It would be nice to have games like them again but with updated graphics. I have played Burnout Paradise, and it was ok. It appears that...
I have read plenty of negative things about Win 8, but would still like to give it a shot since I have used so many different versions of Windows over the years. I ordered a new hard drive along with a copy of Win 8 and will put it on that hard drive, and will leave 7 on this one for a while to...
I had a Tandy from Radio Shack. If I remember correctly, it had an 8086 cpu, 20mb hard drive, and 512k Ram which the sales person upgraded to 768k before I took it home. Was that the 1000 model, or something else?
For a little while, I had an AMD 386dx 40 cpu.
The point of the post that you quoted was just changing logos and upping the price only because of the logo change. The poster said nothing about making the Charger more powrerful than a Viper, so I don't see what that has to do with what was posted.
Many people would probably take your other post as meaning having the same/almost the same performance as the gtx 580. If you had said comparable to the gtx 570, then I doubt that anyone would have had any issue with it.
There is nothing out there right now at $300 that is a big upgrade from...
I understand what you are saying. A slight overclock on that 560 ti 448 will make it equal to a gtx 570, which is in league with an HD 6970. The 7870 is not really worth an upgrade from a 6970/gtx 570/560 ti 448 (except maybe if vram is causing problems on those gtx cards). As someone else...
This makes sense. Since he is satisfied with his current card, he should wait a few months to see new offerings that may push down prices on current cards.
That cpu test in 3dmark06 really hammers a cpu. Maybe within the next 10 years, there will be a cpu that can average 10+ fps on that test. :D
I was using an Athlon 64 3400+ when I first tried 3dmark06. The cpu score averaged 900, and was very slooooooow. I think it was around 0.2 something...
I disagree . AMD has been lagging behind Intel for 5 years. The phenom 2 architecture (x4 cpus anyway) is on par with/maybe slightly better than the Core 2 Quads, and certainly not enough of a threat to Intel to cause them to have to release Sandy Bridge to get past the performance of AMD...
The i5 will be better than the Q9450.
Here is a comparison from the Anandtech cpu bench page. Since your 9450 is clocked at 3.2ghz according to your sig, I picked the QX9770 which has the same specs at stock as your chip at 3.2 to compare against the i5 2400...
