I actually just spent some time Googling that to see if I could find some evidence of your claim, and I did not. the main reason was there's always been bewilderment over why the ride heights on the cars was so wrong. Since Jackie Stewart himself tried out GPL, I'm sure at least by that time...
You know, I went from a 37" 1080p monitor to playing at 30" 1600p, and it's not worth being mad or jealous about. I'm actually just too lazy to put my 37" back center, otherwise I'd already be back to playing on it. Bigger screen, less pixels so better framerate.
TBH - I have three monitors...
I started off @ 300. But I did skip 1200 and went straight to 2400 next.
Man, that was like the difference between dial-up and highspeed internet today!
I could be wrong, but I think I heard now they're hard to find?
Not sure why anyone wants one. They still feel like a toy. A $300 today, but a toy nonetheless.
I remember buying it and my first impression was to continue saving my money for a real ~$1K+ setup with an even better cockpit...
Yeah, I realized right away the graphics aren't anything to write home about when I put everything to max and @ 2560x1600, my framerates were buttersmooth above 60...
That said, I do believe they are improved over TDU1...
Playing GPL on a keyboard makes about as much sense as playing Dead Space 2 with my steering wheel. I think I did try that once though, just to see if I could have some quick GPL action without having to drag out a wheel every time. Yup, made about as much sense as the thought of playing DS2...
Hard to say. Is the text of the pages just stored as .txt files, or are we talking about high-DPI lossless .BMP scans of the pages? :D
Almost ironic that the picture books are the ones that will take up the most storage space?
Who watches the speedometer in these games? I don't.
GPL - since this doesn't have a speedometer, I'm not sure how you fared. But yeah, from my experience with it, only 100 hours? It probably takes 100 hours just to finally drive in that game and be very comfortable with it...
Exactly. Golden reviews are taken seriously, whereas golden showers are just meant for our viewing pleasure.
And who the hell said all he does is criticize games? Wasn't his Mass Effect glowingly positive? He liked that game so much he suggested they call it "Mass Erect" to convey his...
No, there's a clear consensus:
Those with experience in TDU1 and other even better racing games are saying to pass on TDU2.
Those without experience in TDU1, and only having experience in some other unfortunate racing games, are praising TDU2.
Seems clear to me? if you have experience...
Bioshock 2. Amazon has it for $16, but were just offering two quarters.
Now the price has lowered even more, and they're only offering a single quarter.
Atari stopped at six patches so they could focus on TDU2. TDU1 still has bugs, and some show-stopping ones, too.
My favorite is the game save corrupting bug. Atari's fix? Save the game save twice, so now you're only half as likely to run into it.
But only half as likely is the...
