DVI not working: 6800U vs 2405FPW
Are you hooking it up with the computer off? Try turning the computer off, plug the DVI in, then turn it on. I can't switch from Analog to Digital on my DVI port without restarting (shutting down and powering back up again) -

Why NOT to get the 2405fpw
Yes, tearing exists on every monitor with VSYNC off.... but for some reason, its more noticeable on this monitor... i've turned VSYNC on (60fps is usually plenty) and it's cured the tearing... and as for the 'for some reason' part... i believe it's because of the motion blur that I'm... -

SLI 6800 or X850 for 2405
also do some research as there seems to be some issues (i say do some research because I have only read it but not researched it myself so I can't point you to it) with SLI and wide screen resolutions. -

Any ghosting in game with Dell 2405 TFT ?
If you read what I said way above also... I did do that. I see the motion blur in just dragging windows around. That's why I'm pretty sure it's hardware related also. Yes, I understand some games have it (especially the GTA games, god I hate that and have to turn that off in game... luckily... -

Anyone use the 2405FPW on a Mac mini?
I must not be doing something right... or something... I've hooked my Mac Mini up to the 2405fpw via DVI, worked fine at 1920x1200. Then, I tried analog (just for fun) with the included dvi-vga converter and again it worked at 1920x1200, even though everywhere it states analog will only... -

Widescreen Gaming - Is it all about the FOV?
I haven't tried UT 2004, but i'm pissed that in EQ2 I don't get an increased FOV at all. All it does it lets me zoom out less and cuts off the top/bottom. I was hoping to be able to zoom out the same amount at 4:3 but see more on the sides. Grr. Haven't fully gotten to test WOW but I think... -

Any ghosting in game with Dell 2405 TFT ?
I've got mine and I will say that I do see some ghosting. I'm coming from a Benq FP791. That monitor is supposedly 16ms but in my tests last night, I see less ghosting on that then this new dell. I don't know how else to describe it. I was playing EQ2 and thought I noticed some more ghosting... -

I'm all for threads! Although, lets keep them relevant (as opposed to relevent and 'irrelevent') to the topic they were started with. Nothing worse than searching for very specific words, only to have it come back with 2 threads, each thread 60+ pages long... afaik there is no easy way to find... -

Need Help with a Slight Problem with 2405FPW
DVI or analog signal? If it's analog, i've had luck creating a fully gray image and then doing the 'auto' thing. Granted, this is on other monitors as my 2405FPW isn't here yet... If it's a DVI thing, it may be a bandwidth issue. See if there are any ways to turn on 'reduced blanking' in... -

I have a PNY 6800 GT. Yes, I used DVI. I only had it for about 2 hours, when I found out the component wasn't working so I returned the monitor. I did NOT have it long enough to be 100% sure it was working fine with no issues (such as any flickering or anything like that) but I've not read... -
