mhhhmmm what speakers? Oh and lol at plasmas not being better...Anyone who has seen pioneers elite tv's knows what i mean....those things are honestly the best tvs I have ever seen. -

If that is a good plasma, around 1400 is a great price for it, even if it is 720p. If he is watching movies on it, i would go with it, if that was all his budget could afford. Their blacks are far better then every other tv type besides crt i think. -

I've heard a whole lot of good speakers and from my listening I think that at best bose is average. Every bose I have ever heard sounds strained at high volumes, even at low volumes they do not sound accurate to me. For their price there are A LOT better speakers out there. @ Loke- Did you even do the math for that? Even if he got paid around minimum wage it would be over 3 grand. 45 Hrs/Wk * 4 Wks a month * 3 months * $6/Hr = $3240 Before taxes of course but still... When you don't have to pay for room, board, food, utilities, ect. you don't have to work a ton...
