    34" 21:9 UltraWide Displays (3440x1440) - LG UM95/UM65 & Dell U3415W

Here's a better pic, taken with a camera on the manual setting: And from the angle: This was set to 1 second on the shutter speed, and looks a lot like what I see visibly. Obviously the IPS glow is on the bottom, not sure why the left looks more yellow than the right, though. Is the bottom...

    34" 21:9 UltraWide Displays (3440x1440) - LG UM95/UM65 & Dell U3415W

Ok, so I just checked the monitor at 35 brightness, and the backlight bleeding is still visible in the top middle area. I agree that the bottom corners is IPS glow. There also appears to be some slight bleeding on the top as well, but not nearly as bad as the brightest one in the middle. So...

    34" 21:9 UltraWide Displays (3440x1440) - LG UM95/UM65 & Dell U3415W

^Thanks for the info, and I understand about the camera, its always a crap shoot taking it with a cell phone (iphone 6). I don't access to a DSLR so that was my only real option. I'll try massaging it to see if I can eliminate the bleed. I think I had brightness around 50 or so when taking that pic

    34" 21:9 UltraWide Displays (3440x1440) - LG UM95/UM65 & Dell U3415W

whats the proper way to take a photo, then? The camera focused on the monitor, not the light below. Some of this is probably IPS glow, but the bleeding in the top middle is pretty noticeable with the naked eye on a black screen.

    34" 21:9 UltraWide Displays (3440x1440) - LG UM95/UM65 & Dell U3415W

Well, add me to the list of those with backlight bleeding problems: I got in on the Newegg/eBay deal, and the backlight bleeding is pretty terrible. I'm not sure what I can do, I can try to do the RMA game with Newegg, or I may just try to fight for a refund.

    34" 21:9 UltraWide Displays (3440x1440) - LG UM95/UM65 & Dell U3415W

Is there an easy way to decrease the brightness on this monitor via calibration? I turned the brightness down to 0 on the monitor and it is still way too bright! The only calibrator I have access to is a Spyder 2, is there an easy way to do this in OSX?

For what it's worth, mine was made in July 2009, and was Assembled in Mexico, and I don't have any tint issues whatsoever. I'm extremely satisfied with my monitor.

I've been looking at getting a newer calibration device for this monitor, along with my older 2007wfp IPS monitor I have. I've search on here and it seems that the best device in my price range is the X-Rite EODIS2 Eye-One Display 2. Is that right? Is there anything better for around $150-$200?

Does anyone have any more info on the Gamma option in the menu? There's an option for PC and Mac, I'm just wondering what the Gamma setting is for the Mac option (as I'm using this with a Mac). I'm also on Snow Leopard, which has a different gamma setting (2.2) compared to previous OS releases...

On the calibrator topic, I have a Colorvision Spyder 2 calibrator that I got several years ago...would that be usable with this monitor, or do you need a more recent one?

    Dell U2410

Mine was assembled in Mexico, and the manu. date is July 2009. I'm not an expert when it comes to these calibration results, so is yours what it's supposed to be? Or is it supposed to be higher like mine?

    Dell U2410

^I wonder if something is up with your monitor...looking at my calibration report, my Grey Scale Tracking is basically a straight line at around 7000 K for the color temp, and the Gamma looks like an exponential curve (yours almost looks like a straight line).

    Dell 2010 Product Line

^I for one will seriously consider this monitor if the reviews of it are good. If there are coupons around, this will make it an even better price. I would have gotten the Apple 24", but according to them my DVI Macbook Pro is obsolete.
