Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'd agree with the folks calling Deux Ex overrated. Never could get into that game...seemed really boring to me. I give most games about half an hour...if I'm not hooked by then, it's not worth my time. I don't have enough free time to waste it.
Yeah, I could never get Windows Media Centre to work properly with different video formats, so now I just convert files to the .WMV format if I want to stream them through my Xbox. Certainly isn’t convenient if you just downloaded something and want to watch it immediately, but at least...
This is a great thread. I have a few, but my reason why for all is just that I didnt really find them fun for whatever reason:
Starcraft (think I prefer my RTS games based more in reality, ala Age of Empires)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (played it once for two hours, got...
Someone mentioned Jagged Alliance 2. Not sure if it’s underrated, but it would be on my list, for sure! I put in countless hours into that one…very addictive.
Someone also mentioned No One Lives Forever 2. I would put NOLF 1 and 2 on my list just on the strength of their...
5% might be high. I might peg it at around 0.5%. I have absolutely no concept of how to cheat or who actually is cheating, though, so I could easily be totally wrong. The way I look at it is I am normally getting destroyed by most good players anyway, so, unless someone is clearly dominating...
Good points. Also, someone would have to be beyond internet-dumb to post a video of them playing while cheating. The number of people in-game that accuse others of cheating is quite annoying. Unless I see someone that has a 50 to 1 K : D ratio, there's no point in even thinking twice about it.
I don't think it's a question of intensity, I think it's just a matter of the brain activity and mental stimulation. If you're playing something really low-key (i.e. cards or minesweeper), that's probably alright, but playing something really stimulating (eg. Black Ops) just messes you up for...
Wow...must've been someone you know who took it, like you said. Is there any way to physically track a PC like that (stories of people who tracked down their stolen iPhones are flashing through my head)? I wonder if there is software you can install to enable tracking? I'm sure something like...
All kidding aside, I do find it a bad idea to game in or just before bed. Last night I tried to sleep after playing Black Ops for a while, and all I could hear was the faint sound of attack helicopters. And then I woke up with visions of maps running in my head.
Great thread. Too many great memories to list them all, but here goes (trying to go in chronological order):
1. My dad coming back from a business trip with a NES.
2. My first time playing Wolfenstein.
3. Breaking into houses in Hero’s Quest (later named Quest for Glory).
4. The...
Yes, you'll be able to play Crysis and BC2 on it, likely with medium detail levels.
That sucks about your desktop PC. I would freak out if mine was ever stolen.
