Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
wow thanks for the info! I will try out both. One more question, what is the "landing zone" and what size drive or partition do I need for the OS?
Oh and what are the advantages of using a NIC card? What does that do?
Alright, I want to make my first media server. Its going to be made from the parts in my gaming rig since I don't play many games anymore. It would be shared by other PC's in my house, but I'd also like it to be accessible outside of my network. I am a total newbie when it comes to servers but...
+1 on the studio 17, Ive got one and its great for my work ( CAD, VIS, 3Dmax and adobe) I've got the model with a 8100 Intel and 3GB of mem. Big hard drive too, cant go wrong!
I bought my studio 17 from delloutlet about a month ago and it has performed like a champ. Got it for $900 with 3GB of ram, T8100, 256 ATI graphics, 250 GB storage and bluetooth. I would recommend going with an outlet lappy.
To make your file size smaller you could go to print and select pdf as the printer and print the file to a pdf. Also, to edit smudges and such couldn't you just open the file with PS, make a new layer and use the brush tool?
I would agree with woken and look at 24". I recently got my V2400W and am very happy with the size. Coming from a 17" it is a welcomed change in size. IMO bigger is better:p
