Alright I attempted to take some pics of illustrator.
The problem is my crappy camera is not that good....always pics up the dam rainbow effect that u dont see in reality and the screen is just awesomely sharp in reality in photoshop and illustrator... I do graphic design and its awesome...
I heard there was a manual way to fix it on avsforums.com (or a work around anyway), I dont remember what it was but it was posted in that big thread on the west37.
Buy it from NEWEGG.com, they use AIT Worldwide shipping.
I got mine delivered, box in pristine condition.
They will schedule an appointment with you for delivery as well, to make sure you are there to sign for it.
I recommend!
And to put the too big thing to rest on the 37"... it is not I have no trouble at all and im only 3 feet away from the screen.
Pics will be posted tonight possibly showing the Photoshop and Illustrator.
Yeah the other monitor is a lot dimmer, and I dont even have the Westy anywhere near its max brightness.!
It is a Viewsonic VP201s, but it is like 3 years old. Goes to show you how the backlight dies over time, because that viewsonic was very BRIGHT when new.
at 1920x1080 i would have to say 37 inch or lower for graphics design etc..
I still need to test it out for PS and Illustrator etc... I will post what I think this weekend when I work on some projects.
W00T !! I got my monitor tonight.. and got it all set up.!!
IT RULES!.. I dont notice any weird backlight bleeding, nor any pixel issues.!
here are the pics.
FLASH OFF
FLASH ON
lol nice..
WELL! I did it,,,, i clicked the order button on newegg.....
Used AMEX double my warranty, because ive heard quite a few stories of it dying like barely after the 1 year warranty multiple times....
I will post pics when she is setup! woo hoo!
BTW i also have a 37"...
so basically with newegg warranty... your screwed if you get one that is defective right out of the box.
You just have manufacturer warranty, and have to ship it (at your cost) back to the orig. manufacturer in teh original box.
They then try to fix it or gget u a new on if they cant...
Ok thanks Ive read through and im about to order one from new egg...
One last thing I really did not notice in the thread....
How is it for doing some graphic design work? Should I stick to using my 20" vp201s for this task at 1600x1200...will my vp201s have more accurate color...
I mean..
has anyone specifically ordered this TV from Newegg.com.... and did they get any defective unit or anything?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16889234001
with the 3 year + tax + shipping the tv comes to 1459 or so.
