Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Back in 2008 I asked for recommendations on a headphone and amp combo. Ended up getting a MisterX PINT sent to me for free by sdgserv. I never said thank you, and now I feel like an ass. The amp is still driving sound into my thick skull like nothing else. Thanks for the gift of a handmade...
So I've been given the green light (sorta) from the wife to build a new rig. It just so happens that we are acquiring a 82" tv to replace our 65". I was wondering if I could run a 780 Ti and on-board Z87 gpu at the same time.
Currently running a 6970HD driving 3x24" monitors.I had to buy...
next question.
Blower or Fan? Since I'm going the SLI route I figure blower is the best for actually removing heat. But I've seen some compelling temperature readings from EVGA's ACX fan array.
I do have a slot of space between PCI-E so there would be some airflow, and I have a Lanboy Air...
After much deliberation, hemming and hawing, browsing benchmarks sites and deciding to drop my idea of a 32gb ram upgrade I'm gonna go with the 760 (4gb) and more than likely sli. Price point for SLI is $600 and it surpasses a Titan at $1k. I know I'll never pay that much for a card let alone 2...
SuperSpeed: Ramdisk costs $80 and current version can access RAM outside OS's scope
SoftPerfect: Ramdisk is free and can create any size and number of RAM Disks, but I don't know if it can access "lost" RAM
Running SoftPerfect's RAMD with a 1gb part vs my 128gb SSD testing 100mb. RAMD is...
Currently playing Neverwinter Online, replacing an 8year on and off WoW addiction
Planetside 2 or DayZ when the co-workers/friends are all online
and looking to start Bioshock or Dishonored finally
I have 3 1080p screens, but mainly run a single monitor as my card cant handle 5760x1080 with max...
Thanks for input, but I have an SSD already. And while that particular drive is faster than mine, from what I've been reading a RAMdisk is much faster.
Side note, I would have to upgrade Home Premium to make use of the extra ram it seems...
I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket; but I want to be frugal.
Should I pick up a single 760 now, and wait for prices to drop a bit before grabbing a second? Or just get a 770 and not screw with the whole SLI nonsense?
I know benchmarks say 760 SLI is better, but I've been burned...
I have a slightly aging rig running AMD 8120 on a Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 board and 8GB of G.Skill PC3 8500 on two sticks. I recently read about ramdisk and wanted to create a 24gb drive to swap games off and on it, and to future proof a bit when I decide to upgrade my MB/CPU to something more...
Problem solved, sorta. I wanted to use the manufacturer's tools to do the secure erase, but it seems that there was some bad coding/oversight on their part. Or perhaps windows/AHCI controller is tripping the "freeze" bit even though I've power cycled it.
I used Parted Magic's secure erase...
I Have an Intel 320 and an OCZ Agility 3 SSD. Both of which will not "unfreeze" and secure erase using the manufacturer's tools. I've done the power unplug trick, the sleep mode trick, and diskpart offline trick. AHCI is enabled in BIOS, and I installed win 7 on a spare drive. Motherboard is a...
Except that the G35s aren't the usual fare of many crappy drivers in one can. It uses stereo output and software processing the fake the surround sound.
So I was wandering around Best Buy with a hole burning in my pocket, and I've been on the lookout for a decent headset/headphones for awhile. While clutching my new precious 2TB drive, I came upon the Logitech G35. It looks solid, has some interesting features, and best of all, its here in...
going by that logic, I decided to check ol craigslist and found a LG W2452T-TF for 200. The dells they had are the Dell S2409W for 235. I can stomach those prices at the moment but would rather go in knowing if either of them was crap.
