    IPS 60hz SST 4k

Are you sure? Update — Eizo has confirmed that the display is a single-tile unit. http://techreport.com/news/26849/eizo-flexscan-ev3237-has-31-5-of-4k-goodness And there is no mention of MST in its manual either (and 3840 × 2160 / 60 Hz / VESA CVT RB is listed as a supported and...

    3840x2160@60hz RGB on HDMI 2.0 on Panasonic AX800 + Nvidia 750ti with 340.52 possible

Shouldn't the driver prefer RGB when possible? Or maybe you can try a custom EDID with the YCbCr 4:2:0 capability map data block removed.

Sending INFO_FACTORY_inv.wav twice should work. :( It doesn't even get you in the normal service menu?

Changing the Local Set and Tuner settings is possible too, read the whole thread I linked. You just need a Samsung Android device with an IR blaster or a PC with a Samsung IR extender.

    Pixels/inch with 4K displays

I want a big display with high pixel density, 8K FTW! :) (40" 4K display here, because it is more useful for my purposes, but 40" 8K would be awesome)

Changing the region should be possible, see http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=7882. H series is not yet supported by SamyGO, but the developers are working on it (they've already managed to get root access).

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

I'm using the HDMI4 input with “HDMI UHD Color” enabled (not sure if it makes any difference with an HDMI 1.4 source). The only really different input seems to be HDMI3, which supports MHL and HDCP 2.2, but is limited to 300 MHz clock (SiI9679 receiver?). Are you using your custom mode or the...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

The red text looks perfectly fine on my Samsung UE40HU6900 and the input lag seems to be very low (3840×2160 @30 Hz, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730, no custom EDID). Do you have it set to PC mode? There also seems to be some kind of firmware (or driver?) bug and when switching resolutions it...

Maybe those “vertical scanlines” aren't caused by that dark color optimization… sometimes I see them in bright areas too (they are more visible in the dark ones, though). BTW, the panel is probably Samsung LSF400FM01-G.

Yes, PC mode, picture mode Standard, backlight 20 (max.), contrast 100, brightness 45 (default), sharpness 0, gamma 0, colour tone Standard, HDMI black level Normal, HDMI UHD color on. Settings like dynamic contrast, black tone or motion lightning are greyed out and set to off in this mode.

The panel manufacturer seems to be Samsung (service menu says 40A6AU7VH) and the panel technology is probably PSA (or some derivative). e‐Manual says UHD 50p/60p RGB and YCbCr 4:4:4 are supported (when HDMI UHD Color menu option is turned on), but I have no way to confirm it. And...
