Thanks BB. Originally, I was just going to use Testdisk to extract the files I hadn't backed up yet. Which is why I ignored Motley's deuchey response earlier. But, as of this morning I have the ENTIRE ARRAY back!
I went ahead and tried swapping the order of the disks...they were def. in the...
Thanks, Zpackrat. The bios issue (reset, clear, whatever happened) caused the controller to lose the array. I rebuilt it using the CTRL+I interface during bootup so I could explore it with testdisk, and am looking at dropping the disks using the same interface.
I'm trying to figure out if...
Thanks for the insight. Believe me, I'm aware of the isht sandwhich I've given myself and am not trying to be overly-optimistic.
The way I screwed things up, I formatted Windows before it had a chance to see the RAID again, and it was already gone in the bios. Windows see's the re-created raid...
Hey folks,
I'm working on recovering files from a lost RAID 10 partition, and am trying to do things slowly and deliberately so I don't make an unrecoverable 'oopsie.'
Background: This was a software RAID 10 built with 4x 3TB drives using IRST on an ICH10R (Intel X58) controller. I don’t know...
What these guys' said. Buy from the sale/trade forum, or get one on ebay. I got one there myself just last week for $500, shipped. At $670, you could just throw another $100 at it and get a RTX 2080, which rumors to perform slightly better. There's a good amount you could save though, if you...
Saw this on Gamer's Nexus just last night, but it's from Aug 29th. They also have a teardown video on their channel, so they've been in some folks' hands for at least 2 weeks now?
Fellow Vanilla alumni here, and I have to disagree with this Xpack being unfriendly toward casuals. I've been a filthy casual since Cata launched, skipped most of MoP and WoD, and only played Legion half-heartedly. I'm really enjoying BFA, and actually find it quite accessible. Quests in the...
That's basically what I'm saying from a consumer perspective, where you are looking at it from the supplier/AIB standpoint. I think we are in violent agreement, lol.
Not sure I'm reading your question right, but I feel better buying a used card from someone on Ebay than I would if I'd bought a NIB card from an AIB, because the latter would essentially reward Nvidia's recent behavior.
I was originally excited about the 20 series, but if a 2080 ($750) is...
Ebay might fluctuate daily, but I also got a good condition 1080 Ti for $500. This was just 2 nights ago, and I watched 4 more go for $495 - $530, shipped. Ignoring the "Ti" moniker for a second, that's $260 less than my (now cancelled) 2080 pre-order, at what's looking to be about the same...
Well, I flipped my last flop last night, and bought a 1080 Ti for $500 shipped.
I had an EVGA 2080 on pre-order for $760 from newegg. Been on the fence about keeping it or not, and the recent leaks made up my mind. I decided to save myself 33% of the cost in exchange for what looks like...
I don't really understand the volume of posts suggesting early adopters are going to get a bad value. Every other post, article, or video reminds me of a teeter totter. In one opinion, it's gonna be great, with RT as an added benefit that will continue to grow. Then in another, it's all the...
