    TDub's Market Place

Unless I'm just missing something, I can't figure out where you're located. I like cases, so I was just curious. ; )

    WTB: Pentium D 920, 930, 940 or 950

Honestly? No. For the right price I would upgrade the 2GHz processor in a Dell Dimension 4300, but the dell board's mounting bracket is proprietary and uses passive cooling only. I actually HAVE a spare 2.4/128/400 chip, but the system locks up on boot with it installed, which suggests...

    WTB: Pentium D 920, 930, 940 or 950

Looking to pick up a Pentium D 920, 930, 940, or 950. 1. I'd prefer to buy from someone who can include a HSF as well. 2. I won't consider purchasing anything which is over $75 shipped, so the lower the price the better. 3. Used is fine, this is going into a server though, so I can't accept...

Research Data Recovery, OLD Drive, Help!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't seem to get it to try booting from a floppy. I downloaded a DOS 5.) Bootdisk from BootDisk.com, ran it to write to floppy, and put the floppy in the computer that I want to boot from it. No boot Device available. Bios is about as simple as it gets...

Research Data Recovery, OLD Drive, Help!

Are these programs that you boot from a floppy? Because otherwise, I'm not sure how you're suggesting that I run them.

SCSI Help. How to hook up?

You will need a SCSI controller card, or a motherboard with integrated SCSI support. Unless you're building a server, I think the card is your best option. The specific card you'll need depends on the precise connector type of the drives, I think there are at least two different types of...

Research Data Recovery, OLD Drive, Help!

We're a very small lab, with limited funding. My experience is that "reasonable" is $100+, and that's assuming that they don't actually have to remove the drive platters. Considering that this is a 44mB drive with an archaic interface, IF there was even some place that I could locate with...

Research Data Recovery, OLD Drive, Help!

Basically, all I want to do is be able to install a hard drive as secondary and see if there's any way that I can attempt to recover data from it from an OS on a primary drive. I'm open to other suggestions though, my professor needs the data on this drive. It's not that easy though...

    Woot-Off is go!

Alright, so I'm not crazy. It really doesn't show anything until it's over. That's strange. And annoying as hell. -_-

    Woot-Off is go!

Ugh, am I blind? I saw that after the sell out they post a Quantity value, but during the sale I see no "Woots Sold" field : / I'm using Firefox and have no reason to believe that I would have any issue displaying such a value, so where the heck is it? :( I'm looking under the product stats...

    APC BE325R UPS $14.99 @ Circuit City--No Rebates

Correct. The run of the mill UPS is intended to do precisely that, and rarely more. They provide sufficient time for saves and shutdowns, and protect against flickering power, (brown-outs?). They are not designed to act as a supplemental power source for a device.
