Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi all. I need some help deciding on how best to expand my cooling to my new R9 290. I currently have a H100i on a 4770k. It's working great. I just ordered a CM Glacer 240L (Swiftech H220) after getting tired of waiting for a Sigma_cool GPU mount which would also require a second AIO cooler...
Do you think reference card prices will drop once non-reference cards are released? Or will they stay around the $400 mark? Right now, Egg is the only shop flaunting the cards at this price. As far as I can tell most are charging $500, with the exception of one at $420. Actually today, with a 5%...
Bahaha! All this time I've been trying to OC with heatsinks ON, while all I had to do was remove them, put the board on the workbench, and BOOM - 6.7GHz!
So it comes down to this: heatsinks and on-board water blocks aside, what do you like about the OC Formula? Are you using the Z87m or ATX...
Is that the uATX version of the board? Have you heard anything about slot spacing or room for water cooling? I know the case is what matters in terms of fitting radiators, but do you think it would be difficult to squeeze cooling blocks and tubing onto a uATX board?
These are both good things to know. I've heard good things about ASRock in general. A few of my friends won't use anything except ASUS, but that's probably just them being hard-headed, crotchety folk who fear change ;)
Is aluminum more prone to galvanic corrosion than other metals? Or is the corrosion caused by the combination of more than one type of metal being used in the same loop? Also, is there any difference in thermal conductivity between water and an antifreeze mixture?
The specs sheet for the Corsair Hydro Series H60 CPU Cooler say it fits LGA775, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366. I assume it should also fit 1150, but I want to see if anyone has experience for this specific application before I spring for it (a steal at $20 AR).
Hey guys - I am building a gaming rig with the intention of overclocking. In fact, tweaking/overclocking itself is more fun to me than the gaming.
I will be using an i5-4670k and Sapphire R9 280x Toxic, with the intention of adding a second 280x soon.
The ASRock OC Formula comes with built-in...
