Mobo just died, possibly opportunity for upgrades

Ok, guess I have to go CPU shopping. What's the best bang for buck LGA 1155 at the moment? Maybe an i5 3470 or 3570?

Mobo just died, possibly opportunity for upgrades

My brother's PC has a P7P55D-E LX, which is LGA 1156. I'm not sure what the chip is, but I'm guessing a CPU that fits in a 1156 won't fit in a 1155 unless by some miracle it's backwards compatible.

Mobo just died, possibly opportunity for upgrades

I've tried that. I had the mobo on the cardboard box, the two ATX power plugs connected in from the PSU, the CPU inserted and the power switch cable from the case plugged in. Same problem. So I guess I should be looking into buying another CPU? Sigh more money =/

Mobo just died, possibly opportunity for upgrades

Hey guys, just got the parts this morning. I'm having the exact same problem as before - no monitor signal, no beep, no POST. I think the motherboard they sent might have been a dud. I've removed everything except CPU, Mobo and PSU, reset CMOS, check the monitor with a laptop, used a different...

Mobo just died, possibly opportunity for upgrades

I have a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB. Great, I'm leaning toward the R9 280X since it's cheaper than the 7970. Is this normal? Which is the better card? And great, I'll be purchasing the P8Z77-V LK. Thanks for the advice everyone.

    Part Upgrade

I have the latest edition of ATI Catalyst installed and it says everything is up to date. Chrome installed the latest flash player for me. As for power settings, do you mean in the bios or in control panel? Because I don't really know what I'm looking for.

    Part Upgrade

Hey guys, I finally got around to ordering the parts and I installed them a few days ago. However I have found that my computer graphics randomly seem to stop working. It's odd because it's not as if it's a blue screen - if I'm watching a movie or listening to music the sound keeps playing. The...

    Part Upgrade

Most likely these two sites: http://www.netplus.com.au/ http://www.ple.com.au/ I'm not sure which particular P8277 model you're referring too as there seem to be a few at different prices, but the i5 is $220 and the RAM is around $60. Is 16GB necessary? What sort of things require so much...
