    Pagefile is a debatable topic with most people, but general consensus is to leave it enabled.

    Run memtest on the RAM. Sometimes memory errors within Windows can be caused by exceptions in code.

    Most games won't take advantage of the added cores, so the higher clock frequency will yield better results for gaming with the exception of a few titles.

    It could be a bearing in the fan as well and the larger load on the PSU would explain the noise getting louder due to more heat dissipation.
