Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Oh CPU is not lapped. I purposely did not do this since I'm going to ebay the Q6600 for a 9550 Penryn later. (yes yes i know it's twice as much as the 9450 but it has a 9x multiplier)
Oh yeah, I think I did a bad job of applying the AS5. I should follow the one line thing like the manual...
Man I completely forgot about this post. So here's the story. I can 3dmark on 3.93ghz and play games. Orthos fails within 30 minutes. But I usually just leave my compy on 3.6. Orthos for days, 3dmark, TF2, Crysis, etc.
At 3.6 right now, core temp has me at:
C0 44C
C1 37C
C2 39C
C3 44C...
Current Desktop on Air
Super stable in windows and doing tasks. Just not stable during 3dmark 2006 CPU test or Orthos.
3dmark at 3.96GHZ with newest nvidia beta drivers (.28 or something)
EVGA 780i Motherboard, 4GB Transcend Axe PC9200 (1200) Ram at 1000-1050mhz (4-4-4-4)...
Ah good points guys. Well I just read this 100 pg post on the ASUS P5N32-SLI that was linked on HardOCP: http://www.overclock.net/intel-motherboards/167489-asus-p5n32-e-overclocking-guide-370.html
I guess right now I'm just confused. So far this combo is stable, but yeah I tried lower...
Can you tell us all your voltage figures? Such as 1.2HT, NB, SB, etc. And ram voltages (2.1-2.3?). I'm having trouble pushing past 3.0ghz with a G0 stepping quad and active cooling on NB and ram.
Yeah CPUZ is not accurate in giving me the correct voltages. There's that whole droop factor. The last 3 numbers were HT core, NB, SB, etc. Load temps are 46c while benchmarking (9700 and MXII).
Somehow, I can't go past 3000mhz. If I set QDR to 1333 and ram to 800mhz, I still get a few BSODs...
Using the Asus P5N32E-SLI which I previously called a cripple motherboard. I have the unlinked speeds at 1333 QDR FSB and 899mhz Ram.
Stable on Orthos for 6 hours.
CPU Core: 1.425
Ram: 2.2v
then -Auto
1.3
1.4
1.5
LOL usually I get about 120fps in that game on 1920*1200; sometimes in the tunnels it goes to 190fps. TF2 finally got multithreaded and a SLI profile heh.
Hmm I fixed the corruption error by verifying the install, updating, then restarting. The green bar is the SLI indicator. if it's longer, it means SLI is being used more. If it stays at the middle, then SLI isn't used.
This is my EVGA KO on stock 675/1975 with the original cooling. I've had so much trouble with this card, even with the fan on 70%-100%. Is anyone else getting these issues? It looks like memory corruption.
This and the nvlddmkm driver issue in Vista...
