How much longer will my NEC 20WMGx2 last?

Thank you both. I've run my 20WMGX2 at around 25% brightness, and have just slightly increased it last year, so it seems to be doing ok on that front.

How much longer will my NEC 20WMGx2 last?

It has 33,360 "ON" hours on it and still looks great. "Off" hours show as 49,705. What is the lifetime on these? Should I be looking for a replacement? (Costco has the Dell U2415 for $299 now). Thanks!

QHD 27" IPS monitor for text and video?

Seeking recommendations for a good to great 27" 2560 by 1440 IPS monitor. I guess I can live with a 25" too, but will have to use scaling. I don't do ANY gaming. Monitor will be used for browsing, editing documents, and watching videos 99% of the time. Text clarity is very important. A USB 3.0...

27" 2560x1440 IPS or Similar Monitor Recommendation

Thanks, wondering if 4K at 27" will be overkill, and scaling will just defeat the purpose of having 4K to begin with ... What 4K monitor did you get?

27" 2560x1440 IPS or Similar Monitor Recommendation

I have a AOC Q2770PQU at work which I love. I'm thinking of getting a monitor now for home, of the same or comparable quality and specs (2560x1440 IPS or similar). Any suggestions? (Example: Dell UltraSharp U2715H or U2717D, ...) I don't do ANY gaming. Monitor will be used for browsing...

Should I upgrade or not? NEC 20WMGX2 user

Hello, I currently have a NEC 20WMGX2 LCD, 1680 x 1050, 20.1". It's still beautiful and works very well. It has around 28,000 'ON" hours and 41,500 "OFF" hours on it. My worry is that it may fail suddenly after many years of use, and I rather look for a deal now, than wait and rush to buy...

Cheapest 27" 2560x1440 Name Brand IPS Monitor?

NCX and others - thanks very much for all your inputs. I've pretty much settled on the Crossover 27QW. Two last questions: (1) Are there name brand monitors (AOC, BenQ, ...) that is comparable in text quality to the Crossover 27QW? Forget video, black levels, etc. I need fantastic...

Cheapest 27" 2560x1440 Name Brand IPS Monitor?

Thanks, I agree about the Ultra Dock! From what I can see it's also single link. However it seems like it's display port can support 2560x1440. So in order to use the 27QW I will need a display port to dual link DVI adapter. I will look for one. If you have a favorite, please let me know...
