Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I see that it's equipped with an Intel GMA, can you upgrade?
Do you know of any specific models? Btw I have the HP Pavilion dm1z right now.
Like the current gen games at medium settings fluently.
that doesn't look too small...
I know this was a "silly" question but just that I don't want to spend another $500 on a GPU any time soon.
I've actually played Far Cry 3, Battlefield 3, and all the Crysis titles and perhaps I shouldn't have used the term "maxed". I meant like Ultra level/Very High presets in many games at...
Anyone buy this? I just picked it up for $12... Pretty much Red Orchestra 2 w/ flamethrowers and banzais. I still love RO2 though and I hope this would bring more players.
I know you can't really say without my other specs but I just wanted to know like how long until GTX 580 will be bottlenecking my hardware no matter how good the other parts are.
But if you really need to know I have an AMD Phenom II x6 1055T 3.0Ghz , 8GB DDR2 Ram, and Windows 8.
Thanks for the input guys. I knew IPS monitors have great viewing angle, that's why I gave one a try. Even though I game on it and use my TN monitor (sorry about that confusion with LED/LCD/TN) as secondary monitor, I sometimes find the TN monitor more easy on the eyes. Don't notice any...
@Ultima99 Thanks for that, I'll keep the list in mind. Btw, what's conventional online storage?
@Red Squirrel Can you explain what's a master raid array? :P I'm only half way educated with all these terms. ;)
lol rather than buying multiple external hard drives for back ups , I would just go with a cloud back up solution but I guess their server can die too... >.< Are there estimates for how long a regular HDD/SSD lives with heavy use?
I wouldn't want Intel to buy out AMD even if they had to give Nvidia a x86 license. To my uneducated mind, Intel & Nvidia = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
AMD = $
:D
I used to be so against Windows 8 like everyone but like many gamers, I've converted over and honestly, no complaints here... I don't even use the start8 :P
I still haven't made it past 10 years with my custom built computer so I'm wondering are the HDDs/SSDs that I got for the build like guaranteed to die some day? I mean I have some REALLY important files on these so... Also even if I back them upto an external drive, aren't external drives...
So I recently bought a Dell IPS monitor wanting to try out the "new tech" but I'm wondering, is it in any way better than regular LCD/LED monitors for gaming? Although I do like its visuals in some games, I feel like in other games it looks worse...
