Monitors with zero dead pixels and no backlight bleed

So here is the final count on the BenQ GW2765HT. First monitor: 2 dead pixels, bad backlight bleeding + clouding Second monitor: 2 stuck pixels, bad backlight bleeding + clouding Third monitor: 1 dead pixel, bad backlight bleeding + clouding Fourth monitor: 1 dead pixel, bad backlight bleeding...

Monitors with zero dead pixels and no backlight bleed

So I exchanged my last monitor for three stuck pixels and am on a 3rd one now. This one only has one dead pixel up in the top left corner which I'm really fine with at this point, but it has bad backlight bleed. I'm fine with some backlight bleed and really I expect it, but this is too much of...

Not happy with my 2 month old SAMSUNG S32D850T

I feel your pain as I've had nothing but issues with everything Samsung I've ever purchased. Other people always tell me how they make great products, but I've never had my hands on anything I would call good, let alone great.

Monitors with zero dead pixels and no backlight bleed

So I did an exchange for a new one and no dead pixels spotted so far, but I do see a cyan coloured pixel in the centre of the screen up from the bottom a ways. So I've exchanged the dead pixels for a stuck one apparently. Backlight bleed seems better, still an L shaped bit in the one corner...

Monitors with zero dead pixels and no backlight bleed

I bought mine from Best Buy. They generally don't give me any hassle if I have to return something vs. certain online retailers. Plus I can just take it back to the retail store instead of shipping it back.

Monitors with zero dead pixels and no backlight bleed

is it just a pipe dream to actually get a monitor with no dead or stuck pixels and no backlight bleed? I just purchased a BenQ Gw2765 and it has one dead pixel in a fairly prominent place and backlight bleed I can actually see in the day time along the left side on black screens. It seems...

Recommendations for a new Monitor 24"

I might be able to squeeze in a 25". Thanks for the recommendations. I'm a little leery of Dell products though because the quality control seems pretty iffy and the likelihood of many problems and having to go through a bunch of monitors to possibly get a good one is sort of scaring me off...

Recommendations for a new Monitor 24"

I'm looking for recommendations for a new monitor. 24" in size (can't fit anything bigger on this desk). 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 resolution is fine either way. IPS or VA preferably. It's main use is gaming, but also surfing the web, watching videos. Price around $300ish, if something was...

    Dell U2412M

I agree with this. I've looked at probably 20 LCD/LED Monitors in my time and they all had backlight bleed to some degree. I think at the end of the day what matter is if it bothers you personally. Don't worry about what the norm is for any given monitor because it will vary really. If you...

    Dell U2412M

I got my replacement display today. I noticed when set to the same settings as the old monitor it's off a bit, especially in terms of the colour grey, it seems a little lighter on the new monitor. Is this something to be concered about, or just that no two displays will calibrate the same?

    Dell U2412M

Well I sent in for an exchange, the monitor I have has a lot of backlight bleed (not IPS glow, although it has that of course). They sent me a new one, the backlight bleed is much better, but there's a very noticeable black mark (not a dead pixel or a row of them) you can see over every colour...

    Dell U2412M

U2412M easily in my opinion. I had the U2312HM and ended up returning it and getting a U2412M. Bigger screen, better picture (higher static contrast ratio) and not blindingly bright. Also, if you get the wrong revision with the U2312HM if you lower the brightness you'll get buzzing (although...

    Dell U2412M

I just wanted to add something for anyone who has run into any eye fatigue/strain with this monitor. I've had mine about two weeks now. For the first week and a bit I know I had eyestrain from using this monitor. I lowered the brightness, calibrated it and messed with all the settings and...

    Dell U2412M

@Biosphere I can only say that mine doesn't buzz at low brightness. Not sure about the rest. I had a question though, mine says Manufactured January 2012, but the Revision number is A00. Does that sound right? I thought it was up to like A02 or something?
