    thanks for all your help and suggestions. i guess the best option is to wait. i don' think the adoption of the new standard will take very long, but i guess at least it will take 1 or 2 more years. Right the only cheap alternative would be the shield, but it doesn't look like a good option...

    Indecision: 1440/1080

    What about desktop, browsing, office use with 27" at 1440? Aren't the letters too small? Do you feel you have to stay closer to the screen or have you used some setting in windows to make the font larger?
