Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
eta to add this image: when putting up a dark grey or black image there are these weird vertical lines. Wondering if this is a common issue. Thanks again.
Hi everyone!
Trying both DVI and HDMI. Tried both 59/60hz. I disabled AMA on the monitor and it seemed to help a bit and helped the most. The banding is almost gone but the ghosting of the text while browsing is still very eye strenuous.
I updated the monitor and gfx card drivers. No luck...
I'm getting those same vertical lines on the BenQ PG2401PT. Normal? Not very noticeable most of the time but somewhat annoying for a high end screen to have. Switching over from an Asus Pro Art, which did have some uniformity issues but an all around a great monitor. Any thoughts? Should I send...
Hi everyone!
The PA246q has served me well for the past 5-6 years. I originally bought the NEC PA241 but the AG coating proved too annoying. The pa246q has developed yellow warm spots and I need to replace it asap. I like the panel and the aspect ratio at 24".
I see there's a PA248q but for...
Indeed, both use the P-IPS LG panel, yes. Other insides, no. Maybe I got used to the AG , as I didn't compare them side by side and had a day in between, but in any case it was slightly easier on the eyes. The Asus is not a dream to calibrate as the NEC was but if you need to support a wide...
The NEC pa242w sounds like a great monitor. A little over a year ago I tried out the pa241w and the AG coating was not very flattering. So I did not end up keeping it and opted for the Asus pa246q, for now.
Yes, the AG was the only reason. eta: It seems I'm not the only one to downgrade for that reason

One of your points: Must have excellent text reading qualities. The NEC PA241w is definitely not the one for reading lots of txt...
Tnx for the tip. I'll re-check those. I've had v5 running for at least a week and the issue only popped up today. Haven't installing anything since updating to that latest version.
Hi there!
Noticed today that the little arrow for the thread tools drop down list (over near the top right) is missing when browsing the site via Firefox v5. Is there another way to access the "Subscribe to this Thread" feature?
Thanks in advance :)
I was in a similar boat a few months ago. Switching from a pro series CRT to the LCD world. Was looking for like you say general use and plenty of photo editing. I went with the NEC PA241w($800-$900). Great screen but could not get completely used to the AG coating. It took at least a month to...
I've tried turning it on and off to help with the readability of text. I left it on last I used it.
It gets even harder to read text off the browser with cleartype turned off so I've left it on.
Using IE9 and FireFox4 for web browsing.
Booting from a WinXP drive now...Turning cleartype...
