Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
(disable crossfire)
ok play on the good server
watch your FPS
disable 2 cores
play on the good server (again)
watch your fps
report your findings here.
thanks
not with a 690 or 6990 (1080P)
put settings to HIGH (not ultra) and then even a gtx 680 or 7970 are not bottlenecks with 4 cores
just do the tests so we can see what is really going on.
it is evident that this issue needs to be further looked at.
BENCHMARKS please :D
I would still LOVE to see some benchmarks of BF3 64 player MP (1080P settings = HIGH) and then someone test with 6 core and 4 cores
would love to see that
easy way to find out is someone with a six core cpu (amd or intel) do some testing in mp 64 player map
that solves it.
the problem is most people (probably 90%) have 4 cores or less
7-8% probably have amd 1055T - 1100T (the amd 8xxx series really don't count here as they are similar to...
ok I found other threads saying BF3 "does" use HT.
so if that is correct then that pic with medium settings would be correct.
so does BF3 give a higher FPS with HT enabled then compared to disabled?
in the graph with medium settings look at the i5 2500K and the i7 2600K.
BF3 does not use HT at all
so why is the 2600K perform that much faster?
I will tell you because the benchmark is flawed
I would still like to see a couple more tests with a 6 core cpu dropping to 4 cores and comparing frame rates in a bf3 64player map with high settings with at least a gtx 580 and up video card
so far we have one test it would be great to get two or three
those I3's just don't get enough credit buts it makes me wonder how many cores does BF3 really (use for Multiplayer) when you are almost geeting the same as the guy above with a 1100T using 4 cores and 6 cores.
I just don't get it
first of all I want to thank-you very much for taking the time to test it out.
finally some real hard evidence proving that a 6 core to a 4 core don't really make any difference (for bf3 MP anyhow)
when I used to have a 1090T I would look at my cpu usage on all 6 of my cores and it would show...
again
I request someone with a SIX core CPU perform the test I asked for.
there are only like TWO benchmarks for BF3 in MP where they test cpu scaling and more importantly Frames Per Second.
I want more data if possible.
so I have to say again.
please someone do the test.
thanks
I really am surprised the moderator here has not put a stop to people that are troll baiting me in this thread.
all I ask again is for the simple test to be done.
if you don't want to do it then please do not respond
