Well, in case anyone else has issues similar to me. I was able to use UNetbootin @ http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ to solve my issue. I changed my bios settings to AHCI and used unetbootin to boot into the install for me. everything works fine im runnin ubuntu 8.04 x86 64
UBUNTU installer will NOT load, it just errors out. When I disable sata controller, the installer works fine but of course it doesnt see my SATA HDD. The problem is using UBUNTU with a SATA HDD and an IDE DVDRW. Just lookin for a fix.
