Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Possibly the 'cutest' video card I've ever seen. It's also faster than the 7750 linked above, if that matters at all. Looks slightly shorter but taller.
Not sure if people just have excessively high standards to claim that below 120fps is unplayable, or if I just have excessively low standards.
In all seriousness: I understand your disappointment to an extent, but remember that you have SLI 670's. Repeat that to yourself. You have one of the...
I would just go with the one with the highest clock -- and it helps that EVGA is pretty reliable and reasonable for RMA's and stuff. Though the MSi's have better cooling, so you might be able to push them farther if you were going to manually overclock.
But, may I make a suggestion? If you...
Yeah, I installed a 6450 on my dad's computer so he could watch Blu-Rays and I was shocked when it wasn't doing 1:1 pixel mapping on an HDMI cord. I had to try and "size it" myself like it was an old analog VGA cable.
Went ahead and picked up a 670 FTW last night at a local store for a reasonable price last night & I am satisfied. I've been pleased with EVGA before so I'm pretty confident this time around.
Hopefully this'll get me by for some time (along with a 3570k).
Thanks again everyone!
Old, actually.
Latest reports have AMD in both PS4 and the 720 (both processor and GPU) and that it's going to be from the 8xxx series family. I have a feeling it's going to be based off of mobile 8xxx GPU to keep everything on one PCB, though. PS4 has been confirmed to have 8gb DDR 3 (at...
It was a ZOTAC Amp! 660ti. Factory overclocked which I did not overclock further.
Turned the computer off two days ago, and the next day the computer booted to a black screen every time. About 40% of the time I could get as far as the BIOS, whereas other times it just stayed black. Yanked the...
Thanks for all the feedback guys.
I think I'll just go ahead and get an EVGA 670 FTW and call it a day.
AMD has tempted me twice this generation (first with the 7950 and now with the 7970), which is saying a lot after my horrible experiences with them some years back.
My main problem...
Well, I'm more thinking of future-proofing. I'm getting married later this year, and then after that I'm sure children come, yadda yadda. Not going to be able to justify video card purchases as easily from here on out ;). I'd like to get a card that lasts for a good long while, but also receive...
Nah, my decision really isn't made. I default to Nvidia is what I meant, because that is what I have found satisfying in the past. I'm trying to keep an open-mind going forward, though.
So my brand new 660ti died on me yesterday after 11 days of operation (lol). Oh, and by the way: I have a fair amount of "brand loyalty" to Nvidia, so making the jump to AMD would be a big decision for me (and I have concerns).
I was already feeling sour that I hadn't gone for a 670 to begin...
Building a new comp in a week or two now. Never had an SSD, so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. I purchased:

Going to boot Windows 8 and my most-used games off of this drive. I have a 1 tb HDD for additional storage.

Hmm. I have never observed this with FRAPS or with the in-game counters. That said, I usually do have triple buffering on which does address this issue, at least for OpenGL games.
Thanks for the links to the Tweakguides, evilsofa, but I've read through them already. I sort of came here...
