Same here thanks for the input.I've decided I will stick with my current motherboard until I have more of a need to upgrade such as a dramatic change in cpu architecture and features compared to my OC'd bloomfield.

I have no issues when gaming. Maybe my eyes aren't that sensitive but I'm totally immersed and I find the color and black quality fine except in the bottom corners which 90% of the time I'm not focused on to begin with.

Figured out my dumb mistake. The DP input is hidden behind the monitor stand. Problem solved.

is there an explanation of the differences between the OEM builder packs and the retail copy? There's a hundred dollar difference between both. I would assume that would be only for companies that have a signed terms of usage for resale...

It's been awhile since I upgraded to 7 but the computer I gave my parents are in need of an upgrade from XP. According to Newegg, it's going to cost 200 dollars because I see no upgrade versions, only OEM copies. Am I missing something here? Let me know!

I'm a display port newb as well and so far I've yet to be able to output my macbook air and my Lenovo t430 work laptop. Anyone have any tips or advice? I'm using the display port cable that came with the monitor.
