    I just got the zalman vf700cu for my Leadtek 6800gt. I have no comparison to stock (fan was blown when i bought it) It comes with the ram sinks, as well as a full copper heatsink and dual speed fan (silent and normal) It's not loud even on normal, and it idles around 40-43 celcius...

    Thanks for all the advice. I ended up using a single rail PSU and just put that into the new case. On another note, God DAMN this case is so nice compared to my no name $40 dollar case that i had before, it's not even comparable! Will never use a bad case again.

    acceptable athlon xp 2400+ temperature

    I have a barton 2500xp and mine idles around 40-41 usually also and will jump up to around 50 under load. I am using the stock hsf and stupid pad tho, i'm planning to replace it with an aftermarket fan until i can upgrade cpu later on.

    yea just looking at it. I can get 2x 6800gs's for around 500cdn. Or one 7800gt for around 450. Also do you mean them having unlockable pipes? Also if they happened to only unlock on one, would they still run in SLI in that format?
