I just got the zalman vf700cu for my Leadtek 6800gt. I have no comparison to stock (fan was blown when i bought it)
It comes with the ram sinks, as well as a full copper heatsink and dual speed fan (silent and normal)
It's not loud even on normal, and it idles around 40-43 celcius...
Thanks for all the advice. I ended up using a single rail PSU and just put that into the new case.
On another note, God DAMN this case is so nice compared to my no name $40 dollar case that i had before, it's not even comparable! Will never use a bad case again.
i am ghetto and i have 3 pieces of ram :) 2x256 and 1x512
I checked out that board, only supports 2.
I would also prefer to stick with amd if i upgrade.
i have already purchased the case which came with the PS, and i really wanted the white lol.
What would the risk be of running it like this?
Are there any socket a boards which run dual 12v?
I've done some quick searching, been out of the computer game for a while.
I needed a new case BADLY and i've been using a generic 350w, so i went and picked out what seemed a perfect new case for me, the Antec p150 with Antec Neo 430w.
My setup is:
Amd xp2500+ barton
Asus a7n8x
1gb...
Never had to do this before, i want to start playing around with some oc'ing, so i heard i should do this first.
Anyone have a guide or a link that shows how to do it?
Thanks much
I have a barton 2500xp and mine idles around 40-41 usually also and will jump up to around 50 under load. I am using the stock hsf and stupid pad tho, i'm planning to replace it with an aftermarket fan until i can upgrade cpu later on.
Basically, with the BFG mail in rebate right now, they work out to being about the same price.
Which would i be better to get? In terms of performance and Warranty as well. Going to be going tonight.
BFG 6600gt oc or eVGA 6600gt
yea just looking at it.
I can get 2x 6800gs's for around 500cdn. Or one 7800gt for around 450.
Also do you mean them having unlockable pipes? Also if they happened to only unlock on one, would they still run in SLI in that format?
