    OLED 4K 30" 60 Hz - Dell UP3017Q

The 2017 LG OLED basically has the same input lag as the Dell, if the 20ms ballpark figure is correct. The LG doesn't strobe, but it does have 1080p @ 120Hz... would be interesting to hear from someone who has both.

    OLED 4K 30" 60 Hz - Dell UP3017Q

I'd imagine that its a really, really good monitor for twitch gaming if you set the strobe to 60 Hz, assuming that 20~ ms of input lag is acceptable. How does it fare for reading strain? 120 Hz strobing isn't very noticeable I hope?

    OLED 4K 30" 60 Hz - Dell UP3017Q

LG OLEDs don't use PWM though.

Best monitor for reducing eye strain?

If that's the case, a VR display would do pretty well wouldn't it? Can't wait till a VR document reader is released :D

    Samsung S27A750D 120Hz

For anyone who still cares... blocking off pin 20 with tape solved all of my DP issues (non-optimal resolution, etc etc). Saved me from spending $50 on expensive DP cables :)

Is it time to drop the DVI ports on video cards?

    Samsung S27A950D 120Hz

I haven't seen any obvious artifacts yet, but I'm not likely to notice nor care when I'm doing fast paced gaming, I guess. Hope the 23 inch panel is different in this respect though. Is it a definite thing that the "normal faster fastest" setting only affects overdrive? I'm judging input lag...

    Samsung S27A950D 120Hz

Tried it on my S23A750D, its working great! Btw, could anyone test whether there's any difference in input lag between normal, faster and fastest? I _think_ fastest feels less muddy but that could be confirmation bias.

    AMD's HD3D Eyefinity is incredible!

What I meant is, the license file (if one exists) for samsung tridef seems to work for the newer versions of tridef as well. I've actually tried the trial version of the full retail version, that didn't solve my problems either. I've heard that the "display out of range" issue is actually a...

    AMD's HD3D Eyefinity is incredible!

So... how did you get tridef to work in the end (display settings, etc)? You don't have to buy tridef to get the newest updates btw, just install the latest tridef over samsung's and you still have full access to it. I've never been able to make frame sequential mode work in anything besides...

"Have a look at your services. I had a similar problem and disabled "AMD External Events Utility" and it stopped looking for the monitor. I think on my old system it was called "ati hotkey poller"" This seems to have fixed it for me. Haven't had any displayport issues in 2 days now.

    Asus VG236HE or Samsung S23A700D ?

If you live in Australia, its a no-brainer: the Samsung. The Asus costs about 50% more for exactly the same thing, excluding the Nvidia vs AMD thing going on.

    Samsung S27A750D 120Hz

Lol, I'll pitch in with my impressions then (vs a Dell P992). It feels a lot closer to a CRT than a 60hz LCD, but the mouse cursor somehow feels just _slightly_ less responsive than a CRT. The sharpness obviously beats my CRT hands down and the colours are more than acceptable, subjectively...
