Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
card was never shipped I picked it up local everything is good with the seller, I am just not sure why all of the sudden the card stopped working, and if maybe there is some quirk that I am missing.
So I picked up a powercolor 7970 off the forum and I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried putting it in 2 different computers (a gene iv z68 and a gigabyte p67 UD4) and on both it is undetected in bios (says the slot is empty) and if I attempt to use the card nothing displays.
the card...
I don't really have a set budget I was going to get a 3011, but i figured I would ask on here if there are any others out there that are as good or better.
I am a bit dated on my monitor knowledge right now and was wondering what is the setup to have right now. I am comming from a dell 3007 with 2 2007s on the sides. My 3007 is starting to show its age so I am looking to buy something new.
My main use for the setup for gaming but also a bit of...
hmm the black widow was one of the most solid keyboard I have used, did not care for the macro keys and the shape of the keys on it though.
BTW here is a major tip. Stay away from back light keyboards it only takes about 2-3 weeks to learn to type without them and once thats done, you will...
This card should be priced at $95 I don't really think anything more should be said about it. Its preformance is equal to a 6850 which I can buy for $110.
Desktops prices for the most part have dropped.
CPU prices have pretty much been static over the last 7 years with the top of the line being around the 1k mark and the bottom of the line being at the $300 mark. The only thing that might add a bit of confusion to this is that there are a good...
if you are running a single monitor the 4870x2 is the way to go. 150 is way too much to spend on a 6850 and its not really that much faster than a 4870, I think an x2 would be a 6970 in some benchies (will have to check this though)
I think the bigger reason is there is not really a need to upgrade. It use to be people upgraded so they could play current games. Right now you are upgrading so you can move a setting from 2x to 4x. So spending 500 bucks on something that will make such a small difference seems like alot.
