My first SFF/ITX build ever.. [College Student Budget]

300W PSU runs i5-2500 and GTX 560 just fine. I’m not sure about 560 Ti, but the German guys are selling such a system.

    SG06, i5 2400, GTX 560 — will it blend?

Thanks guys! OCCT and FurMark make the little box scream, but it works. 300W for the win! Shuriken barely fits (check the gallery), DIY power splitter works wonders.

    SG06, i5 2400, GTX 560 — will it blend?

I’ve bought all the parts. There is a problem: Shuriken touches a small black chip on the video card’s back side. Should I use some electrical tape or get another cooler?

    SG06, i5 2400, GTX 560 — will it blend?

Machupo, I suck at technical stuff, maybe you can help me? Case manual states: +12V1: Max 14A, Peak 19A +12V2: Max 16A, Peak 19A As I understand, one rail is dedicated to the GPU and other powers the motherboard and peripherals. Assuming PCI-E slot provides some power, will one rail be enough...

    SG06, i5 2400, GTX 560 — will it blend?

I figured out my GPU has two 6-pin power connectors but the PSU has only one. Should I use the Molex-to-6-pin adapter?

Samsung SA850 on PLS - the first review has been published (preproduction unit)

Better coating, better response times. I’d pay extra for that.

Preorder prices (google S27A850D) are around $950. Not bad.

Rhansen, do you recommend upgrading the GPU and downgrading the CPU? I’m looking for a balanced system that can do everything I throw at it.

    SG06, i5 2400, GTX 560 — will it blend?

One more question: how should I set up the PSU? Should it blow in or blow out?

Intake fan will be a stock 120 mm one. Airflow won‘t be blocked by 3.5" drive tray, so I guess stock cooler will do. Anyway, $20 is not a lot of cash, so if Scythe is even a little bit less noisy I’ll be happy to choose it over the stock.

Yes, it does. I ain’t got more space under my table.

Oh, I didn’t know there were 2.5x wide cards. Gotta check. I’m an Nvidia guy, so no Radeons, please. :)

As I said, I can’t get my hands on a 450W version. Is the 560 Ti really worth the extra cash? Will the card with this type of cooling fit? Well, if the stock cooler is slim and silent enough, I can shave $20 or so off the price. Thanks!
