Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You can usually take a small screwdriver and pop it out. Just be gentle. I've seen a couple of different mechanisms by most mainboard mfgs .... but if you can position the screwdriver just a bit under the battery just flip it out.
There are things that have to happen before the post...
Optimized defaults are typically loaded on new boards. Clearing CMOS will by default load the fail safe settings. Only takes 30 seconds ... worth a shot I suppose.
TPM = Trusted Platform Module.
The Boxed BX2 has the 5 stack audio and the extra Silicon Image RAID contoller. 1394. Also Viiv compliant. Targeted at consumer.
The LA (Light Augmented) version of the BX2 has the three stack audio, no Silicon Image RAID controller, TPM, no 1394. Targeted at...
We used large quantities of MSI boards over the years. My relationship with a couple of the employees over there is very good. Overall their quality and support has been excellent. They've had some BIOS issues with some of the boards we've had in our hands lately but they always help debug...
In Asia the motherboard factories are incestuos. The big players are still Foxconn, ECS/PC Chips, and Asus. The smaller guys keep their factories humming along but when the need for volume outgrows their primary factory's capabilities they outsource the manufacturing to one of the big three...
Daftie .... Thanks for taking the time to write that. I respect your opinions and input. It's not my intention to be pre-defending .... and if taken that way by any of you my apologies. Sometimes it's hard to convey points and intentions electronically in the way you mean too, I have no...
Kyle, you are absolutely right. We deserved what we got. And people here with bad experiences in the past have every right to express their frustrations as well. I'm not on this forum to defend ourselves, but to learn and listen, and offer any help if someone needs it.
The whole review game can be a joke. I'd be lying and so would every other system builder if they told you they don't massage review units they know about. Some go way further they we even do. We dabble in the enthusiast market, we're new to the game, we've got a lot to learn. And now we have to...
magoo .... it was built the way it was built. We can't take that back. We have to step up and fix what went wrong ... and that's the bottom line. I can't fix perceptions by only working "this" forum hard for the next few weeks and then just disappearing. Some of the posts give advice about...
trick ..... I couldn't agree with you more. eTalk means nothing. If [H] give us another chance then great. If they don't then that's fine as well. From the general negativity of these posts on this forum we have more to do then just gettting a good review here and there. I'm not just a face for...
