    I have the extended warranty and it says that after the manufacturers warranty expires (1 Year) REPLACEMENT of the merchandise fuffills the terms of the warranty, Repairs only do not end the warranty. I went from an m680 to m6809 to my m6811 with no problem.

    Third and fourth number being 43,44,45,46,or 47 are the ones affected by the original hinge cover internal dimesnsion being too small. 48 and higher have a redesigned cover that fixes the problem.

    I have an m6811 by eMachine. The problem is fixed by having the correct BIOS and by loading the latest drivers. My laptop switches from 800MHz to 2.2 GHz based on load on AC and DC.

    New HDD / Ghost Problem

    Check the partition on the new drive to make sure it is set active. A better way is to make an image of your current drive to some other location (CD, DVD, another external drive, network share, etc,) then restoring to your new disk. That is how I transfer to a new hard disk. Good Luck!

    drivers for m6805 broadcom 802.11g card?

    I just swapped my m6809 for an m6811 at BB. The restore DVD has new drivers for the Broadcom Wireless. Driver version is 3.60.7.2 dated 4/12/2004.
