hi what cooling are you using?

    E4300 temps

ah well it is at 3.4!!! those temperatures are fine (atleast IMO), that puts the Tcase at 56 (71 - 15) doesnt it? intel say recommended 61c max . so that's fine... anyone like to confirm that's right for Tcase?

merlin, you can definitely drop your vcore back a lot, that'll make a big difference what kind of cooling are you using?

the fact the Tjunctions are different says otherwise. seems L2's run hotter?

Accuracy of Temp Monitoring Programs on Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 DS3 S3

i've got a ds3 2.0 and my CPU temperature is lower than TAT, but that's to be expected since they're reading from different places. and the Tjunction is Tcase+15.. so.. i think that's right.... ill have to do some double checking (tat/coretemp vs easytune).. yar...

What are you comparing EasyTune to? If it's CoreTemp, are you using 0.95?

Accuracy of Temp Monitoring Programs on Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 DS3 S3

The next question is, when intel give a guideline of 60 degrees. is that cpu, or core temperature?

Accuracy of Temp Monitoring Programs on Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 DS3 S3

I'm not convinced. I think they're reading temperatures from different places.

E4300's, CoreTemp was wrong. TAT was right.

intel was reporting higher temps. coretemp now agrees with it.

Accuracy of Temp Monitoring Programs on Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 DS3 S3

isnt easytune reading from a different sensor to the other software though? i thought easytune reads from a analogue sensor in the cpu, and the others are digital sensors in the core. comparing apples with oranges?
