Upgraded my system a couple of days ago and this Hynix A-Die kit Kingston beast 6000CL30 2x16GB has been a real bastard. Honestly think there is something wrong with one of the dimm's heatspreader contacts. Was getting weird EXPO I instability issues at 6000. Nothing i could do would fix it, was...
I have the 42" C3 currently using hdmi 2.1 from a 3080 and it's fine, minor issue with restarting that only gives an image after the driver loads(cold boot is fine). But looking at new gpu's and since i run linux i'm considering Amd, now i know hdmi2.1 is not going to work fully. That's fine...
Yup, agreed. I did read somewhere that they are focusing more of their QA efforts on the open version. Hence i might give it a try again, updating drivers has never really been a problem, nor has switching. Having seen Arch breakage in the early days i was a bit hesitant to go back to it but now...
If you mean the open modules version well that one was giving me even more problems but it has been a couple releases. Maybe i should give that one another shot… Switching it is easy enough :)
As to the memory leak well it might be a case of nvidia playing the blame game with proton and wayland...
I'm running Cachyos as well and when playing The First Descendant on a particular map grinding something for a while i run into a vram memory leak. It's a proton/wayland/nvidia thing probably. Gpu usage halves, performance drops, random stutters and freezes and then kwin crashes and closes...
Didn't know about the Ebuy7 store so i bought the TG ptm a while back and put it on a 5900X with an old D14 and an A14 G2 fan and with y-cruncher it doesn't go over 70C. Seems good enough to me. Was thinking about putting it on my EVGA 3080FTW3 but reading this thread where it's mentioned that...
Should be a nice upgrade over my 980 sli at 4k, really starting to feel the low vram now. Also i hope the new reference cooler compares more favorably to the aib coolers, i don't care about noise so much and the blower style coolers are better suited for my FT05.
Perhaps it wasn't mentioned because it wasn't an issue but can you please comment on pump noise? From personal experience Corsair can be hit and miss..
I think the character is just too boring to write a good story for, if he was half as strong or had some other weakness than kryptonite like only being as strong as he is in sunlight for example. Then it would be more interesting, this character as it is has just a perma godmode combined with a...
The case is a Corsair 450D, 2x140 front, 1x120 bottom, 2x120 top and 1x 120 in the back. Fanxpert 3 autotuning was used for silence. I tried some manual tweaking but i could hear some fans through my headphones so then it had no effect noise wise. So i just disabled auto fan stop for now and i...
I'm running a strix on top and ref on the bottom, while i wanted another ref it was just too expensive and or hard to get. Only Evga had cards in stock but it was 50 euros more expensive so i thought fuck it.
Anyways, they both run great, 1450ish core for both but memory still stock. And no...
Let's hope Samsung manages to make a panel without significant backlight bleed, if i have to do a lottery i like to maximize my chances. I'm a bit worried about that price though, i'd like to keep it below or as close as possible to 1k euro's.
