Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Red colored text from that web site is not affected because it actually has an orange hue. It's pure red and pure blue text against dark backgrounds what is problematic (green looks good):

I use a TC-37LZ800 as a PC monitor and have commented about the colored text problem in this AVS forum thread. The text issue is not a "defect", it's a design flaw that affects all units. Apparently, the problem resides in the way digital video signals (HDMI) are treated internally: chroma...
Thank you for sharing your impressions about this set, there's already a +20 page thread at the AVS forums that you might want to visit: click here
Can you please verify if it's possible to disable a feature called "Sub-Pixel Control" through that service menu? Apparently this feature is some...
FWIW, I used to have the Logitech Z-560's and also experienced the annoying humming issue to the extent that I ended up replacing them for a Klipsch system... problem solved and it sounds much better :D .
My case was a bit different though, humming came from all speakers, specially from the...
The OP asked for 2.1, so those Logitech are out of the question, besides, I owned the Z-560 (basically same sound as the Z-680) and can say for sure that its bass was boomy as hell and definitely not clear (another request from the OP).
I still recommend the Klipsch iFi, the satellites (RSX-3)...
Klipsch iFi :D

Yeah, I'll probably get a separate receiver later, but AFAIK the Ultra subwoofer is also capable of driving the RSX-5's. BTW, did you consider the RB-15s?
Thanks for the suggestions, I hadn't considered the Synergy series before, those Quintet III's look very nice. About the RSX line, by pricey you mean overpriced, less bang for the buck, hyped? I wouldn't mind getting just a pair of RSX's if their quality was noticeable better than the Quintets'.
Some people who got the ProMedia Ultra 5.1 system have succesfully upgraded their satellites with speakers from the Reference series such as the RSX's.
I want to try that and go for the RSX-4's or even the RSX-5's, however, I don't want to spend more than necessary for an overkill solution...
Thanks for the comments. I guess I'll be more aware of real specs next time I visit the store.
I forgot to mention in my previous post that I also plan to drive a pair of Sennheiser HD595 headphones off the receiver. How do I tell if the receiver is capable of driving those headphones? Should I...
Hi everyone, I'm in the process of choosing a receiver + speaker combination to replace my current crappy audio rig. While browsing Sony's web page I noticed there is a category called "home theater in a box" which consists basically of what I'm looking for: a receiver + set of speakers. There...
