I can confirm that DisplayPort audio to the speakers works fine via Nvidia High Definition Audio. Not that you'd ever want to use the built-in speakers on this thing for anything serious, but they're fine for tutorials and casual use.

Hm.. well. You get what you pay for, I guess, but I'm not complaining. My main purpose for this monitor is so I can spread out Unreal Engine 4's various panes and Chrome for tutorials and forums. If I need to do serious color work, I'll pick up something smaller with pro-grade color...
