Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sorry for double post but I just wanted to say that the frame minimums is where I was hoping to see improvement. All I am looking for is a smoother experience as you say. I know 2x 980ti would have given more performance than the CPU\MB\RAM upgrade but I'm hoping to hold out until pascal for...
Thanks for the responses guys. As I said I re-purposed a lot of the 2500k build into the 6700k so I would need some parts to test it again. Once I get some free time I'll put the 2500k on a new psu and try with a single GPU.
And wow this guy linked above did a great job. He might already have...
So after doing lots of research with most sources claiming that you wouldn't get much in the way of perceivable differences in a clock for clock comparison I went ahead and did it anyways.
I wish I had ran more benchmarks before I did the swap but at least I can post these two for anyone...
I use this since I have multiple headphones now but no amp cause I have a Asus DG with built-in amp. The ends are nice and weighty so it doesn't move around on my desk. Cable is rubber but it looks about the same quality as the cable that came on my AD700s.
AD700 is super comfortable but no built-in mic (you said you had a zalman)
If you going to get a "headset" (built-in mic) just get the PC360s which are open (bigger sound stage / wont make your ears hot), comfy and prolly the best headset around atm.
I just installed my mesh panel with 4 x 120mm and my GPU temps dropped about 5-7° C. To me it is a little louder, but my 650D has never been a quiet case really. I think cutting out the grill in front of the bottom front fan would make the case a little quieter.
I'm really digging the mesh...
