I use my Wii U and Xbox One on my JU6700 and it looks really good. The PS4 should look good as well. 1080p specifically looks nice, from like 3 feet away it nearly looks like it's running at the native resolution.
Wii U does 1080p and for me looks great. I play Smash with a bunch of friends and it looks really good. I'm using game mode as well. Up to five feet away it looks crisp. The closer you get after that, you can tell it is upscaled but we normally sit around six feet+ away anyways when playing.
I have a second HDMI going to my receiver for audio so technically I'm running two monitors (extended mode) as far as windows is concerned.
Maybe that's why it won't stick. Have you tried disabling the secondary monitor to see if it fixes the issue? I'll give it a shot after work tonight.
I have the UN40JU6700 , 40" Curved 6700 model.
That's another issue, each time I try to select YcBcr444 in the nVidia control panel and click apply, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then it's back to the RGB setting. For some reason the YcBcr setting won't apply.
I'm sensitive to input lag , however with PC mode and everything off (SmartHub, InstantOn, all the other features, etc.) it actually isn't that bad. I'm definitely enjoying it more now.
Getting full 4:4:4 chroma now and everything looks great. Just got that annoying hdmi black level issue...
I ordered from B&H, they're return policy on tvs isn't that great.
Does samsung cover this under warranty? Like, would they come to your house to fix it? I've had a tech come over to fix a samsung dishwasher before so don't see why the same can't be done for a tv lol.
Got my Titan X today. Realized something interesting. I could not get 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 PC or GAME mode to work right. I thought it was my 780 at first but even the Titan X didn't work with either. I was stuck with 4:2:0.
So then I tried hooking up the Titan X directly to the TV without my...
There's no way PC & Game mode are on the same @ 4k. There's definitely a noticeable difference between the two when I switch. My mouse movements have a lot more lag in PC mode. That's why I stick with Game mode. 1210 firmware.
If I select 2560x1440 as well, it is also 30hz. I tried modifying the edid file but no luck. I'll try again with the Titan X and see if it helps. Worked fine @ 60hz @ 2560x1440 on my LG so it's definitely the tv's edid.
Still feels the same. The LG gets 16.6ms on a leo bodnar if I remember correctly. The highest value I seen from review sites was about 18ms.
So the LG is definitely faster, but not by much. Also it's 3840x2160 vs 3440x1440.
1080p feels pretty good but I bought this for UHD. :D
I can...
I like how the LG is a monitor so there's no extra BS and everything just works (4:4:4, low input lag compared to the samsung, etc.)
I also prefer the curve on the LG.
However, I'm going to have to go with the samsung. 4k is nice. Currently I'm stuck with 4:2:0 because I'm using an older...
I have my receiver's picture mode set to bypass and the hdmi set to through so it minimizes any processing. I don't notice a difference with the receiver first or tv first. I do notice a difference with the samsung in game mode with everything I can turn off, off vs my LG ultrawide monitor...
