I did the test also and VGA was pretty bad for me. I definetly needed the DVI so I went ahead and did a exchange. No problems so far.

I did switch to the new cable that came with it, I didn't troubleshoot to single out the cable but do you have another DVI computer to test your monitor out? I would do that. I use to have to push the source button about three times before it would come up. I didn't go through benq since I just...

Left the monitor in sleep for another 6 hours and it came right back up. I'll be out all day today so let me post one more time and I would say that my other one was defective.

Got the new monitor in today. Had the monitor on sleep mode for about 4-5 hours. Came home and it came right up no problem using DVI. It's a February 08 build as well. I will do another post in a couple days to see how it's doing.

I didn't have a problem with the VGA cable waking from sleep. But I only tested it one night. I am taking a risk of getting dead pixels since the one I have is perfect. I'm using an nvidia card. So VGA works fine for you also? I haven't tried HDMI.

It's interesting how this problem exists just like mines but not many posts about it. So from reading all these posts, I assume we got them bad apples from benq? My exchange is on the way, I'll let you know if it made a difference.

Thanks, definetly good info to know. I already sent through a exchange. Their going to send me a replacement and issue me a ground tag for the old one then refund my money for one. Hopefully this goes smoothly.

Draax, it powers on but the problem is that it will not wake from sleep mode in dvi after it has sit for bit.

Mines does it all the time and I'm actually having to tap the input button more to get it back on now without doing a power on/off. I have a February 2008 build date. I wish mines would just stay at DVI. Going to do a exchange.
